Very friendly hosts. You feel as if you are visiting friends. The breakfast was the best we had on our trip. You can reach the town in 10 minutes walk und the cliffpath is just opposite the Guesthouse

It is difficult to find more words to describe the happy home that is Nikki and Stefan's lovely guesthouse, Penguino. All that has been said in previous posts in praise is true. From the moment we arrived to the moment we reluctantly left, they made us so welcome and relaxed. Friendly and helpful without being intrusive, Stefan and Nikki anticipate...

Stefan and Nikki were really friendly and welcoming. They were very knowledgeable about places to visit and to go and eat. They were helpful when we were planning trips getting maps to make sure we were set. Stefan is a great cook and breakfast was lovely with daily specials and a regular menu. Returning to experience the comfort and hospitality of the Otto's at Penguino Guesthouse was definitely a good decision. Stefan's "born & bred" knowledge of Hermanus and their knowledge of the surrounding "Hemel en Aarde" wine region makes this a little bit of heaven on earth. And of course the blueberry pancakes will easily convince me to return again and again.

My wife and I stayed over for 1 night at this quaint 80's style guesthouse. Very nice and clean place with exceptionally friendly hosts Stefan and and his wife Nikki. Stefan is a chef so the nearly-all home made breakfast was superb. Location is great too - close to the sea and only 15mins stroll to the town centre. Great...

They gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. The breakfast in the morning was delicious including their homemade Compotes and Jams. We bought some to take back with us as well. I would...

We recently stayed for 6 nights in the Emperor Penguin room which really is as lovely as their website's pictures suggest. It's a bright & spacious room with plenty of cupboards, an empty bar fridge, electronic safe, hairdryer etc & the in room tea/ coffee making facilities is the best I've ever encountered at a guesthouse. The upstairs location coupled...
