We stayed with two couples in this nice lodge and really enjoyed our stay here. One room was really big, the other normal sized. The beds were very comfortable. The service was hospitable and friendly. They took very good care of the tasteful breakfast. We really enjoyed the relaxing time at the lovely pool. When we stayed here in february... More

We only stayed one night in Hermanus and found this lodge online. It is a bit far from town, but if you have a car that is really not a problem. The rooms are spacious all face the pool area. The decor and fixtures are ok and in general the lodge is of an ok quality. Do not expect luxury,... More

Last night August 30th, 2014 myself and my girlfriend checked in at the Livesey Lodge in Hermanus. we were requested to pay R 900.00 upfront for a room that was dusty. The bathroom had a variety of previous occupants body hair, still laying on the floor and there was a cockroach on our floor (i took few clean pictures of... More

Lovely quiet spot. It is quite a walk to town for dinner and we were told not to walk at night as although there had been no problems the police have a strong presence in the town and are concerned about tourists safety. We were given 4 keys to get in and out of the room and lodge which is... More

We stay for two nights at the Livesey Lodge. The rooms were spacious and the pool was refreshing. Breakfast was served outside next to the pool which was great. The only criticism that we had was that the rooms were too hot and so it was uncomfortable to sleep. Shouldnt be an issue for people that are used to the... More

We stayed for 2 nights at livesey lodge. The owner is very friendly and the breakfast very nice. The room was comfortable and had everything you need. The bed was very good :) It's a bit of a stroll to the city centre, but you can walk along the ocean which makes the stroll a lot more interesting :)

The room was of a good standard with a large comfortable bed and sitting area, although some updating/refurbishment was needed and we felt that the numerous notices posted around were rather unnecessary. The friendly owner was always willing to chat and advise on restaurants and places to visit. We were disappointed with 'The Burgundy' which had been recommended by her,... More

We found the accommodation via the Portfolio Collection website, when looking for accommodation in Hermanus. Overall a good standard of accommodation if a little dated. The accommodation is clean and tidy, but gives the impression of being stuck in the 1980s from a decoration and management approach point of view. The rooms all face around a pool area which is...
