We stayed for three nights in November 2013. I have booked the Panorama Lodge because I was travelling with my family, who do not speak a lot of English and thought they might enjoy german speaking hosts. Well, they did. A beautiful house with a spacious lounge, beautifully decorated and very clean rooms, a deck with a fantastic view over...

We spent a week in the Panorama Lodge/ Knysna and it was fantastic! Tina and Dieter are great hosts and made it memorable holiday for the four of us. Dieter spent time with us whenever necessary to give us the best tips for daytrips, restaurants and beaches in the area. The views over the lagoon are breathtaking. We will certainly...

Great stay We stayed two nights in this splendidly located B&B. Way up in the hills around Knysna, you get to enjoy a spectacular sunset over the Lagoon from their deck. Dieter, the host, has so many tips of what can be done in the neighborhood that you can easily leave your Lonely Planet home.  We felt as if...

Dieter was a great host. He sat down with us and gave us a map of the area and went over what he suggested we see with the time that we had. Their lodge is gorgeous inside and very clean. The view from the deck is fantastic! Breakfast was tasty as well. The room was delayed in having the heat...

They did not call it Panorama Lodge by chance. A wonderful view over the Knysna lagoon. But that is not (all) what makes this B&B special. The real treasure are the hosts. Dieter and Tina are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Very good advise on trips and restaurants. We loved our two nights there and we will be back for sure...

We spent 3 nights a Panorama Lodge Guest House on a B&B basis recently whilst touring South Africa and the Garden Route. On arrival we were greeted by Dieter who made us all feel very welcome at once and showed us around the house. He assisted us with our luggage as well. Shortly after our arrival Dieter joined us on...

This is just a medium-sized private house in a hillside housing estate, overlooking the bay at Knysna. There are many steps up to the entrance door, which may be a problem for people with walking disabilities. It is an unusual house, even the front door opens outwards towards the people arriving. There is a lounge area for guests, in which...

Perfect location high in the hills overlooking Knysna bay. As you will see by the photos, it has the perfect balcony for sitting out on and enjoying the fantastic views. The guesthouse itself is a really lovely place but what sets Panorama lodge apart is the friendliness and service from Dieter, Tina and their charming daughter Malina. When it comes...
