Turbine is in a central location to restaurants and some shops. It's perfect for a weekend if you want to be in the action. It's quite noisy and buzzy so if you looking for a quiet weekend this is not for you. The design of the hotel around the old power station is unique. I would not say it's 5...

We were upgraded to a beautiful apartment as the travel company had told the hotel it was our wedding anniversary. There was sparkly wine and flowers and staff who bent over backwards to make our stay pleasant, we didn't want to leave! There is a small pool area but not much more outside space but that didn't bother us as...

I love those kind of modern Boutique-Hotels! This hotel consists of coloful tubes and makes you feel like being in an old machine-room. Nice small outdoor-swimming pool and great living-room for the guests.

Good location on Thesen island. The hotel is new and the design is very interesting. Dinner is good. Breakfast needs an upgrade. The major fault was the standard room which was very small with no view. Would probably choose a different hotel next time

An absolutely beautiful spot within walking distance of all the sites and restaurants you would want to visit on Theusen Island. It has a wonderful spa of very high standard, a beautiful pool and a quiet position. The breakfast was delicious and bar area is lovely. The rooms are well appointed but small by South African standards (average by London...

We loved this hotel! The hotel has been expertly refitted keeping the original machinery parts as centre pieces. Rooms are thoughtfully decorated and very clean. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Yves, the bar tender makes the best Mojito cocktails which added to a very pleasurable stay. Thank you.

The Turbine Hotel is in a very attractive position in Knysna and has good restaurants close by. The hotel is built around an old power station and retains all the workings in the interior, these include boilers, tanks and a vast array of pipework. The standard rooms are very small. The breakfasts were good with a good selection of fruits,cooked...

Stayed here for 6 nights at the end of January with my husband and 20 year old son, as a base to play golf and enjoy the area. The hotel is first-class - very quirky as others say but comfortable and pleasant. The location is great and breakfasts by the pool were lovely. We enjoyed the evening bar. All the...

We really liked the fact that this was such a different hotel with the way it had incorporated the old machinery into the every day working of the hotel. Service was good breakfast exellent and rooms a good size and nice and modern. Shame we didnt have a bacolny but they only have so many so if you want one...

We enjoyed staying in this unusual and quirky hotel for 3 nights. The room on the 1st night was a small standard room with a high window overlooking the car park which we didn't like, but the Management was able to upgrade us to a larger room with floor to ceiling windows and a view of the canal on the...
