This was such a wonderful experience to have half way into our road trip around the garden coast. Every detail is looked after but in the most subtle way. The bath outside under the stars was particularly memorable, along with one of the best dinners we had the entire trip. If you do nothing else, EAT HERE. As a designer...

The Phantom Forest Eco Lodge is located just outside Knysna on a hillside full of forest. The Treetop Suites (no don´t worry you don´t have to climb a ladder to a tree-house) are located at the top of the hill inmidst the forest and offer absolute privacy. All the inidividual suites, as well as the excellent facilites (reception, bar/lounge area,...

A lovely tranquil place. We stayed in the upper tree houses, they were beautiful complete with underfloor heating. The surroundings were beautiful, we stayed 2 nights. The weather was dissapointing so we weren't able to lounge around the pool area. We couldn't make use of the hot tub it uses solar panels to heat the water & the weather wasn't...

Unique and lovely location with wonderful attention to detail. Staff friendly and helpful. Our Moroccan suite was beautifully presented and clean. Having experienced several different places to stay, we would say that while we have no complaints, it is over priced for the accommodation. Having said that it is unique.

What a lovely experience to dine in the forest, only hearing the wind blow slightly through the trees. Extremely well trained staff and very friendly serving a delicious 7 course menu. I will definitely do this again when in Knysna.

We booked here for 2 nights on our honeymoon and were really excited. The place is beautiful and the food in the Boma restaurant is excellent. Unfortunately on arrival we were greeted by a scorpion in the closet , which was fine as it is an Eco lodge in the trees. Our first night we came back to our room...

We booked a 2 night stay in a morocco suite with one night dinner, a day picnic and a bottle of wine on arrival. The staff are very friendly and really make the running of the place adding to the calm nature of the surroundings. The setting is spectalur, nestled in the trees and each room is secluded and remote...

Realized I hadn't written a review for this wonderful place. Stayed here years ago (end of November 2004). We were in South Africa for a convention where my husband spoke and we fortunate to include a safari in Kruger National Park. At that time, they also had a sister property that we stayed in pas part of a two resort...

The prospect of spending three nights in a tree house in the forest canopy was very exciting. The place itself and our stay there far exceeded our expectations. The Cameleon lodge was luxurious and exceptional. The food was fantastic and staff were extremely helpful. The views from our accommodation and all over the complex were stunning and the canopy wildlife...
