My wife and I stayed here on the way out to the garden route. The staff were courteous and helpful and the room was clean with all the necessities. I wouldn't rate this hotel as one that should be sought out among others but was a convenient and clean place to stay for a night.

Definitely a glorified bed and breakfast hotel with a small bar and pool. But still a good stay. Rooms quite spacious, staff helpful, breakfast not bad. Nice location near the waterfront with the usual shops and restaurants. Looks quite Alpine at first glance with its wooden structures. Enjoy.

The Graywood and it's sister hotel, across the road, are pretty wooden hotels on the high street of Knysna. Rooms are clean and well maintained, staff are friendly and efficient enough and there is a super pool in the central area of the hotel. A good place to stay but it seems that most people walk down to the bay...

This is basically a B&B with a bar. The rooms are nice enough. Scrambled eggs are the only eggs for breakfast as they are too busy yet there is a member of staff on guard duty over the toaster. Breakfast at 7:00 means they will open up about then though they are quick enough to close the bar at the...

We stayed at the Graywood on New Years. It was really ideal as the location is super central. We parked the car on arrival and only used it again when we left 2 days later. Check in was super easy as we book via booking.com, The barman wasn't really around the bar all the time but when you needed him...

We stayed here last month, and had an excellent 2-night stay. Delighted to find a tree full of weaver birds making their nests right outside our room. A good rustic atmosphere - no pretensions but clean and quiet, walking distance to the waterfront and its many good restaurants. No fridge in the room, but staff most willing to provide us...

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a group tour. Reached late afternoon after a long drive and check-in was swift. My room was right behind reception on the ground floor, really warm and cosy. The wooden construction with bright fabrics made it feel very welcoming. Very clean bathroom with a shower over bathtub, nice toiletries, plenty of towels....

Stayed in Graywood hotel for 2 nights. I emailed the Hotel asking for a quiet room. We heard noisey bus parties arrive and leave very early in the morning. Buses revving up their engines at outside our room waiting on the parties leaving. Things got worse when at least 20 Harley Davidson bikers arrived. The bikes made a horrendous noise....

We stayed with a group of forty ppl, all went very well, the breakfast is excellent, with lots of fresh fruit and a great choice of different things, just a short walk from the waterfront and shopping mall. Rooms are small but clean.
