Knysna has become very overgrown and this, lodge is in a great , scenic and quiet location. It is a simple place but very comfortable. The staff is lovely and very gracious and helpful. Unfortunately we experienced a lot of rain during our stay but we still enjoyed our experience.

We have spent many months at Amanzi Island Lodge (both with the old and new team) and feel that this is one of the most beautiful and well managed guesthouses in all of South Africa. The location on Leisure Isle right at the waters of the Knysna lagoon is breathtaking and offers endless possibilities for walking, swimming, kayaking or simply...

How we agree with the previous reviewer. We couldn't work out who was in charge, think it may have been Lovemore but he was little in evidence. Miriam on reception was a delight and most helpful. Breakfast starts at 8am and one morning there was no fruit salad until after 8.30. Two mornings there was no marmalade! Afternoon tea and...

Dear Rodney and Pat Catherine and I would like to thank you for your review. As owners we read all reviews and input (good and bad) is considered, shared and acted upon if required. The lodge has practically doubled in size over the last few months and there are a few chgallenges but we are determined to get things perfect....

Difficult to give a rating to this establishment. We stayed here when the previous owners were in residence and it was a charming guest house, so we decided to return. The place has changed under the new owners who we are given to believe live in Cape Town. It is now run by "managers" of whom there seemed to be...

Dear Jane Thank you for the time you took to post this review. Each and every review is read by both Catherine and I and each review is acted upon where action is required. As mentioned in prior responses we really take these issues to heart as we sincerely desire that each guest at Amanzi is treated as if they...

This place certainly shows how much they care about their customers. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel so welcome .All the little touches in the room were so delightful -- even the sprig of lavender on the face clothes was a lovely touch. The next morning we took advantage of the free bikes before breakfast and...

Great location we had a seaside view and enjoyed the beach for swimming walking and kayaking. The service was great and the staff friendly. It is very peaceful and relaxing. It is very close to the heads and the ocean is warm.

We stayed for a night in amanzi island lodge, in the honeymoon room, a nice big room in the second building, it has also a nice private pool with view on the lagoon. The place itself is situated on leisure island, a very peaceful place next to knysna. Free bikes to cruise around are available, even kayaks to cross the...
