We visited De Zeekoe for two nights in January. I am really surprised to see so many negative reviews. I thought it was a wonderful place. We stayed in a room overlooking the pool. The room was big and I felt very tastefully decorated. No bath which isn't an issue for me at all and we had a huge walk...

Traveled during Dec'16 and stayed here for a night in the Cottages. I absolutely loved this place, the cottages are completely secluded and have all the required amenities. The outside patio was so peaceful that we spent hours sitting there. It was a blissful experience. The cottages are very comfortable, I regretted that I stayed here only for a night,...

I will start with the positives about this place. There was a mix up on our room (I don't think it was their fault but not sure) and the following day we got the room I expected and a complimentary bottle of wine. The lady who helped us with this was so helpful and professional. The room we moved to...

We booked a wooden cabin overlooking a lake and that is exactly what we got and more. The extra was the amount of space within the cabin. Very spacious with a large table, cooking facilities and an extensive decking area. The fact that there were only four cabins on a large site meant that there was a lot of room...

Do not expect any great rooms or 4 star dinner services, in europe probably a medium 3 star. Book the Meerkat tour, starts 5am, but fantastic and very insightful... interesting area and good spot. We heard about a Krokodil Farm with cage diving.. very disturbing if true.

We arrived late afternoon to be told our room had been cancelled but in all fairness, they gave us an upgraded room for our trouble. Rather disconcerting to be told we had to order dinner before we'd had a chance to even see the room and unload our bags. Found that system rather regimented and not terribly customer-orientated. The meal...

I stayed there for 1 night with my husband as part of our honeymoon. The farm is beautiful, very quiet and calm. Staff are really nice and attentive, mostly locals so they can recommend activities around the area. We stayed in a cabin, which was nice and comfortable. The bathroom could have been nicer and a bit bigger (though for...

De Zeekoe is a lovely guest farm with excellent rooms. It is very quiet and can provide an evening meal if you want one as it is about 9km from the main town and you will need a car to get there. Obviously the owners are quite religious as the site is littered with quotes from the bible. What is...

This place is a bit of mixed bag. There were 6 of us and we booked 3 rooms. The setting is stunning and there was ample choice for breakfast. However other than that the whole stay was a shambles. We arrived to be told straight away we had to order dinner (this was at 5pm) without any welcoming whatsoever to...
