We're "locals" yet we always return to De Zeekoe to stay overnight/mid-year break, even though we have the pick of places to stay! Paula and her team are simply the best when it comes to hospitality..

Situated on a working farm you have to negotiate a rough road to reach the Guest House. Warm welcome on arrival and easy check in. As we were situated 7km out of Outdshoorn we decided to each in the on site restaurant strangely we had to select our starter and main course well in advance of the evening meal. The...

The view with plenty of birds and the style of the cabin were so great and the service and food impeccable ! Really recommend the meerkat tour with very funny and instructive guides doing important conservation but you have to book in advance!

I went to this place because of the meerkats, but it turned out to be a great place on its own right. I stayed at the cabin by the lake, which is a fabulous place. The cabin is entirely made of wood, it has a patio overlooking the lake, it is just wonderful. The breakfast is also great. Don't miss...

We were so looking forward to our stay here. Party of 4 travelling. One couple had booked The Honeymoon Suite for a special occasion. On check in the receptionist informed both parties we had been upgraded to their best lodges situated roughly 5kms from the main house. Very disappointed with the quality of these rooms. Asked to be moved back...

Loved our room looking over the garden with the hills in the distance. Very rural setting up a gravel road so good they had a restaurant on site. We had a nice meal both nights. Shame it was too cold to enjoy the outside terrace bar properly! Staff were very helpful in getting us on the Meerkat trip (which was...

We received a warm welcome at this nice spread out property which the owner visibly manage into the details. The new superior rooms are slightly more spacious especially due to the high roof however some are located at the back. Make sure you ask for a room with a balcony facing the river!! The beds are comfy, showers strong and...

We spent four nights in one of the cabins on the lake and it was really beautiful. (When you book a cabin you should consider the season though. There is some kind of fan heater as well as a fire place, but in the mornings it was really cold because we didn't want the fan heater to be on the...

Beautiful, comfortable rooms. Professional service that goes the extra mile and treats EVERYONE respectfully (I always watch to see how staff are treated). Breakfast was superb each day - a wide variety of fresh and tasty food, and some creative options. We enjoyed lunch here twice and the food was delicious and beautifully presented and good value for money. It...

We had a safe trip back home and are back at the salt mines of Siberia. ;-) On behalf of Rencia and I, we would to thank you for your care, professionalism and customer centricity.
