The restaurant has a fantastic venue inside the old mill - some of the old gears and equipent still on display. The food was well prepared but ordinary. I really felt that the layout on the plate looked good, but the combination was not complimentary - rather opposing. Friendly staff and a good setting, inside and out on the wide...

Went for dinner at De Oude Meul as staying 1 km down the road and it came highly recommended. Most unfortunately, De Oude Meul failed to live up to expectations as the food was tasteless and for what you got, quite over-priced. It's lovely to have food that looks appetizing BUT arguably taste is the most important thing, not so?...

What an awesome place for a meal, the service was with a smile the meal was a pleasure. Meat was soft and succulent the staff were very pleasant; the view on deck was amazing as you sit under the stream that runs below you. For those who need to relax when having a meal?

Visited with a group of 46, they catered perfectly for the group - going out of their way to accommodate various food preferences. All staff were friendly. Rooms clean. Lots to do in the area for children such as Cango Caves and Wilgewandel activity centre.

Great Food and Service! Food preparation looks already good as nearly always in South Africa. Nice and lovely place for a relaxing stop outside the town in a beautiful landscape! Homemade sauce and flavoured coffee are very tasty.

As we have not reserved much of the accommodation during this trip, every single stop another surprise. This one stands out out as being tucked away in a very secluded valley. Surrounded by hills ( mountains on all side ), the very small stroke of land along a small stream/river has a hotel and good looking restaurant. We were very...

We had a self-catering studio room (unit 10) which was spacious and had a little patio area with a BBQ. There was plenty of kitchen equipment which was fortunate as we ate in the restaurant on the first night but both agreed we didn't want to go back the following night. The menu was very limited and having chosen the...

The best reason to visit would be it's close proximity to the Cango Caves, just up the road! The gardens is so lush and provides a tranquil setting. Check in staff were a little overwhelmed with a group check in, but all the other personal touches made up for the initial mayhem! If you want an authentic off the beaten...

Quiet and clean with friendly staff. Very far from everything. Rooms don't have that personal touch such as shampoo etc. Only provision for one cup of coffee per person per day. Fully aircon'ed. Very "poor to no" wifi. No cell phone reception inside rooms

This is 16 km out of Oudtshoorn, but very easy to find on the Cango Caves Road. Lovely rooms with very scenic surroundings. Tthe service is very good and the staff very helpful- we got a wonderful tip for a litttle known road trip that turned out to be spectacular. The restaurant here is excellent- don't waste time driving into...
