This was second time we stayed at the Karoo Retreat and we will most definitely return. We missed an oven and it would be great if Breakfast was part of they stay. The pool was clean - we love the big kitchen and we had a braai. Slept well and peacefully and the reception was superb with lots of friendliness.

Very convenient and comfortable. service was friendly, efficient and accommodating. Would definitely recommend to friends and return if we need a place to to stay in Oudtshoorn. We shared a two bedroom unit with friends, but will also be convenient for small families.

Karoo Retreat was the perfect place! We just stayed with the two of us, but it could fit easily a whole family. The beds are really comfortable. The whole house is very clean and it has a big living room and kitchen with more than you need. The bathrooms are very good as well. We would stay here again!

The room was filled with a bit too much furniture. It would have been difficult to prepare a meal if you wanted to self cater as limited surfaces to prepare food on. You would have had prepare on the outside table. It would have been easier in the summer but it was spring when we visited and cold when the...

What a lovely little place! It had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Our contact person, Gerhard, assisted us even though we arrived late. A cleaning lady also showed up even though there is no cleaning service on a Saturday. Thanks for a great stay, will definitely return!

All was perfect. Ina, the host, is very kind and helpful. The room was nice and cozy. It's a little bit far from town center and there isn't much around, but easy to get to the Cango Caves from there.

It was pouring with rain when we arrived, but Ina had the heat turned on so our room was toasty warm. The bathroom features a gorgeous old ball & claw bathtub so we could have a hot bubble bath, which was perfect. Beds feature electric blankets, and are so comfortable. Ina is such a lovely hostess, and so helpful and...

We stayed at Karro Retreat this passed weekend as our daughter was playing in a hockey tournament. The location is perfect close to all the local schools and sports fields, shops and restaurants. But far enough from town central for it to be quiet and peaceful. We loved the decor and the quality of bedding was perfect, nice and warm for the chilly weather....

“Probably room nr 4 is the best, what privacy and view is concerned. It's private terrace is nearest to the pool and offers a bit of a view at the gardens behind the accomodation. Rooms nr. 2 and 3 share a terrace. They may be slightly smaller than rooms 1 and 4.”
