About
Description
Fairy Glen Safaris, a family owned business about a hour from Cape Town is set at the foot of the world famous Brandwacht Mountains. It was the cherised dream of the latest owner, Piet de Jager to transform the More land into a big 5 game reserve, which was eventually realised through his commitment and dedication over the years. Fairy Glen's name is derived from the dragon fly who used to fly over the Glen (Valley) and was so big, it resembled Fairies. Less

Good Day Maria We appreciate your review, as this is helping us to improve ourselves to do better. Herewith we would kindly update you on your review experience. As for the The Lodge / Bar is being turned in to a Restaurant with the bar as well for wine tastings of our locally made wine and entertainment purposes for live local artists to perform on stage, big screen TV’s for international sports that will be open to the public, as well to keep our tourist entertained with our South African culture. We have informed our Reservations department to notify the guests for any future building works. Fairy Glen rescued the elephants from getting putting down as they where trouble makers at a Park in Kruger when they where kicked out from the herd they numerously brake the fences to escape. We took the chance to take them under our wing. We must say that they look much more happier in our environment than as of how we got them from the park in Kruger. Food: We will put it to the attention of the kitchen to make the buffet more vegetarian friendly. The time you were there, we were busy smoothing the roads at our extended area and the only roads available on that day was the route the Ranger took you on, therefore you saw less animals as most of them where deeper in the area of the new extended area, sorry for that as we managed to finished the roads. The owner was under immense pressure at that stage to get this project finished as we were running a bit behind schedule. We have brought all of the above to our managements attention. We hope to invite you soon to see our new Fairy Glen. Kindest Regards Peter E Cape Town Office
