When in Marvão or Castelo de Vide consider staying at Quinta das Lavandas. A beautiful real working lavender farm with amazing farmhouse accommodations! The owners are caring, welcoming and passionate about what they do. I felt right at home...better, actually

The hotel, the cottage in the field, the breakfast, the surroundings, the host couple, service, helpfulness, the locally made products..... EVERYTHING was perfect. We loved it all ..... from arrival to the premature departure 😀

The rooms are very well decorated, bed is confortable. There are two nice living rooms one with a fireplace the other smaller with a TV both really nicely decorated. The hotel is situated in lavander fields. Its a really calm place ideal to run away from the city hustle. Breakfast is amazing with lots of local produce. Bread, cheeses, jams, cured meats and local pastry. There is a nice pool but since the weather is not warm enough it wasnt open. The owners are really nice and talkative. Can't wait to get there again in June or July to check out the blooming lavander fields.

Comfortable and modern rooms. The cleaning was fine and the owners are friendly and attentive. We went in November and we can not enjoy the lavenders in bloom, so we will be back soon. An excellent value for money

Closest AirPort is badajoz in spain. It's difficult to reach without car, it's remote.
