As A long life world traveler, if you like super friendly, calm staff, just head for Monte da Lua ! It is unique and so is the food and ambience. Cozy corners to dive deep into your book, music, yoga or meditation. And the pool is waiting for you. The clue is to linger and enjoy the place.

This guest house has changed owner and management as of Summer.16. Please Forget all negative tips you might find before this date. We can notice a true and effective change. The space has been re-decorated and its now full of little and small elegant details that make all the difference. The property is small enough so that we can feel...

We planned to stay my wife and myself one week in that beautifull guesthouse. The sun was there, a warm welcome and a very nice place to live. Unfortunately we had to leave earlier because of a terrible accident that my youngest daughter had in Belgium. And there we were supported in our efforts to go home by a so...

My partner and I spent 3 days at Monte da Lua Guest House and we had the most relaxing and amazing break possible. It might not be to everyone’s taste, but for those who have the opportunity to experience it, will end up loving it for the peacefulness and tranquillity it provides. I believe that the Owner(Teresa's) dream to provide...

My In-Laws bought us a voucher to stay at Monte da Lua and my wife and I (+ baby daughter) tried to book a weekend last year. In response, we were told by Teresa (in a rude fashion) that children we not welcome (I could accept the excuse as long as such a policy was clearly stated on the website,...

Yes, a Guest house is not an hotel and Algarve is not only a beach coast! So, if you're looking for a quiet stay, in a sunny and warm region, next to farms and the country - but without insects - with a luxury bed and room, a fantastic swimming pool, a garden with relaxing corners and, above all, a...

I came here to "get away from it all" as the website promised. I was left feeling very disappointed. I had just come from a very reasonably priced hotel in Faro where the service, hospitality and luxury far outpassed this place. Monte da lua has a lot to live up to in the area and I would urge anyone staying...

Quite honestly this has to be one of the weirdest places I've ever stayed and I've travelled a lot and lived abroad for many years. My husband and I stayed in the guest house for two nights at the end of a 12 day trip around Portugal, with flights out of Faro, the location was convenient. When we arrived we...

We were planning a 6 day break to the Algarve, and knew from previous visits exactly where we wanted to stay, but they were fully booked; so Monte da Lua was a replacement. We were delighted. Such a peaceful location, beautiful gardens, so many places to sit, chill and read. The swimming pool was great too. The rooms were excellent,...
