Terrific hostel. Brings a great crowd of all sorts. Pretty building and satisfying art all about. Kitchen is quite small and can only deal with one meal cooking at once practically. Staff were lovely and super helpful

very standard rooms, three bunk beds in a room. Beds are comfortable but if your looking for a good nights sleep I'd recommend splashing out on a private dorm. The hostel looks pretty awesome, with funky graffiti art everywhere. And the bar serves decent pizzas at reasonable rates.

Hi Sam! thank you for staying with us and for the review! I agree with you: if you wanna have privacy and a very quiet stay we recommend staying in a 4 Bed dorm, triple room or private double/single room ensuite or shared bathroom. Big dorms (6 and 8 beds) can be a bit bustling sometimes. Cheers! Art Factory STAFF

Everything was incredible, nice, comfortable and full of nice people. The activities they offer are excellent ideas for those who want to know better Argentinian traditions, the city or for those who just don't know what to do while they stay in Buenos Aires. Such a nice experience!

Great service with loads of information available on activities in and around Buenos Aires, with a huge info board in the reception as well as knowledgeable staff. The hostel itself is functional and has two good bars (in and outside) and lounge area. Breakfasts, snacks (pizzas) and drinks were all reasonable quality and price. Great location within the trendy part...

The people were very nice and gave us a lot of tips. The localization is awsome and San Telmo is the best place to stay for sure. The bathroom needs some repairs but it was ok. There was a heater that helped a lot with the cold weather. The breakfast was very good in comparison to another hostel that I...

The location was great, friendly staff give advice on where to go and dangerous places to avoid. The artwork throughout the hostel was cool and the beds where comfy and clean! Hot showers where a big improvement on other hostels.

Due to our flight being cancelled out of Chicago, we missed our stay at Art Factory - however after 3 days of travelling and the prospect of 20 hours on a bus that evening I got in touch. They said to turn up and they would see what they could do. The guy on reception was extremely sympathetic to our...

A good hostal but you must not be afraid of dirty/cold showers. I've seen a better service but it remains quite OK. According to me, the rooftop and the customers are the main appreciable points of the hostal.

hola! thank you for your review! "cold/dirty showers", really ?? Cleanliness for us is a priority and most reviews put it in the "pro column" when talking about Art Factory. Anyway, we say sorry and hope that if eventually there was a "dirty shower" you understand that many people stay here and not all of them are always clean ;)...

This is a clean hostel that offers everything you could need. The front desk was extremely helpful and was able to exchange our US dollars for us. The breakfast was nicely done. It was very close to the Sunday flea market that was a must do! We felt very safe in this hostel.

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
