Orlando was a great host. We were starting a cruise and went 4 nights early. Orlando had a taxi meet us at the airport and take us to the port. He was super helpful with recommendations for restaurants and sat down and highlighted maps with us when we arrived. The upstairs terrace is great for breakfast or to enjoy a...

I just spent a week here and it was absolutely perfect in every way. Location is great with restaurants and stores everwhere and an easy and pleasant 15-minute to the metro. Rooms are clean with good wifi and are very comfortable. Breakfasts are relaxed and as big as you want. And the owner and manager Orlando makes every effort to...

I stayed at Abode back in late November/early December 2016 for over a week. First, I was really excited to find that my room was upgraded to a huge, clean, and well-appointed suite. The owner Orlando was extremely helpful with getting the lay of the land and recommending his favorite things to do and see in Buenos Aires. He provided...

We ended a five week tour of Chile and Argentina in Buenos Aires at Abode. The owner, Orlando Fretto, who speaks fluent English (as well as French), had arranged to have his driver, Miguel, pick us up at the airport. Miguel was there with a sign with our name on it. Orlando welcomed us warmly and showed us to our...

Pluses: - Orlando, the owner! Friendly, responsive, accommodating, helpful, entertaining, trust-worthy, young and passionate, and a willing source of information about places to go and how to get there. - Location: It's Palermo! Need I say more? OK, I will. The Adobe comprises one corner of a large residential building, the outside of which belies the pleasantness once inside the...

Orlando was excellent from the booking process to the very end of our stay. He was informative, helpful, and kindly let me stay on in one of the rooms even though I had planned to change over. His arrangements with the Miguel the freelance taxi driver is excellent and extremely fairly priced. The breakfast is hearty, delicious, and presented beautifully....

I've been very remiss in not writing how very wonderful our stay at Abode was. We had a fantastic stay and Orlando made us feel right at home. His suggestions for dining and sightseeing were spot on. The terrace is just lovely and he made breakfast every day for us; fresh fruit, eggs, the works! His wife also makes a...

This is really a great B&B. The room we had was perfect for a small family (2 adults, 1 child) - enough space for everybody, and thanks to the air conditioning the best place to rest and regenerate. In the evening you may start on the beaultiful terrace of Orlando's house with some drinks or a picada before you continue...

My husband and I stayed at Abode for two nights at the start of our two-week trip to Argentina at the recommendion of a friend who had visited a few months earlier. A couple things make Abode a fantastic B&B and a particularly great choice for a visit to Buenos Aires. Firstly, it´s in a great location, Palermo Soho on...

Thank you Orlando for your hospitality for our recent stay in Palermo. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is served upstairs on the roof garden, fresh squeezed orange juice and fruit salad was our choice. Just perfect for summer mornings. Abode is close to many bars restaurants and up market clothing shops. The restaurants we went to were all...

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.

“We stayed in the Green Room and loved it - spacious, large bath and great shower, openable door to very small balcony, wood floors, great AC. I peeked in all of the rooms and any one of them would be acceptable. The The Red Room is on the third floor next to the lovely terrace, the others are on the second (no elevators). The Blue Room has a private bath just outside the bedroom door in the hallway. The hallway is only shared with the Green Room. Even tho on a somewhat busy street, noise was not a problem. Checkout the pictures and very accommodating checkin and checkout times on the website.”
