Great find. Soooo comfy and inexpensive in a ritzy part of the city. Accessible to everywhere. Our room was a good size for a 5 night stay. Room to move. Had a jacuzzi, sauna, coffee machine and more. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff that went out of their way to help us. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed the downtown location and at our 8th floor level we weren't bothered by street noises. There are good restaurants within walking distance. The room itself was clean, modern and spacious with both a shower and hot tub. Huge windows were partially covered by vines letting in light but giving a sense of privacy. Occasionally a couple of doves...

Exceptional front desk. They will do everything they can to help you. Better than concierge at 5 star hotel. Location is good, grocery and shops are nearby. Hotel is clean and quiet. Only issue is difficulty to wash hands without splashing water on countertop due to design of faucet. We will stay here again when we visit Buenos Aires next...

We stayed at CasaCalma for two nights in mid-December and then joined a cruise navigating around Cape Horn to Valparaiso. We sought out CasaCalma because it is a relatively small hotel and in a very central location in BA. When back in BA, we will without a doubt return to the hotel. Very comfortable and spacious room. Delicious breakfast items...

I was planning in writing this review since we returned, but you know how time flights bye, so I forgot some of the names of the people at Casa Calma. The hotel has a great position, we walked almost everywhere and there are plenty of good restaurants and a great ice cream shop on the corner. We enjoy the room, the...

We had a lovely 4-night stay at the Casa Calma hotel over the holiday season. There is no shortage of hotel options in BA, but after we did some research and read reviews on all the hotels we finally settled on the Casa Calma hotel and it exceeded all of our expectations. The hotel is located in a very safe,...

We stayed for one night and the room was incredible. It was really nice with the hot tub, and I ordered champagne and rose pettals beforehand. The staff was super friendly and gave us excellent information about the city. The breakfast in bed was so good and it didn't even cost extra. I would recomend this hotel to couples looking...

I can't start to say how wonderful the staff and service is at the Casa Calma. We arrived from the states and were there for one nite and the off to Iguazu for two days and then back to the Casa Calma for the remainder of our stay in Buenos Aires. The hotel stored our luggage until our return at...

We really loved our stay at casa calma. The hotel is well placed (center) in Buenos Aires. The staff is perfect. They have bikes, DVD and a honesty bar at disposition. However the wifi was not working well in our room.

Beautiful rooms, and the staff was extremely helpful in setting up activities in the city. There was an attention to detail. We were given a very helpful list of restaurants nearby. The rooms were absolutely perfect, and the whole impression of the hotel was relaxing.

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
