Rooms are studio apartments. Good view of the Recoleta Cemetery and Rio Plata. Helpful staff. When we were there, the internet was not working well. There is normally a $7 per day charge to use it, which was waived, owing to the sporadic reception.

Stayed for two nights before going to Cordoba region and then back for one night at end of our South American tour. Looking at photos on Trip Advisor were not looking forward to this hotel. It looked drab. In reality the photos do not do the place justice. It is bright and airy and the kitchen is very well-equipped should... More

We stayed for 6 nights in a room on the higher floors with a balcony which gave a fantastic view over the Recoleta cemetery. Theroom was very well appointed including separate sitting/dinig area, Breakfastwas very sufficient and always courteously delivered about 10 minutes after phoning. The staff were very helpful particularly Andres who recommended some very good local restaurants where... More

We stayed at Ayres two nights while we were in BA - our first and last nights in Argentina (the rest of the time we were in Mendoza). The hotel is located in a great part of town for tourists. Recoleta is a safe, upscale neighborhood that's centrally located. The hotel is a block away from the cemetery and Recoleta... More

Please don't stay here unless you are in a pinch! The service at this place is awful, it was sooo awesome to check out and move to the Palermo Area. This is what I'm basing my review on: 1. We arrived at around 1PM and upon check-in we were buzzed into the building. The front desk guy "Adrian" looked at... More

Great hotel. Great service. So so breakfast. But the main thing is the location. In front of a wonderful park with plenty of dogs, beautiful trees. Next to plenty of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including The Biela, most known coffee shop in Buenos Aires. Two blocks from Village cinemas (for those who love movies).. The room is big... More

Ayres de Recoleta Plaza is a small hotel located in the heart of Recoleta across from the famous cemetery and an easy walk to the best shops, restaurants and the wekend, outdoor market. The rooms are large encompassing a kitchenette, dining area, couch and comfortable chairs and bed, plus a snug bathroom. An extensive continental breakfast is included in the... More

This is a great hotel set about a block away from the Recoleta Cemetary and various coffee shops, a market, and restaurants. The area is pleasant, full of tree-lined apartment blocks and is basically quiet. The hotel appears to offer some sort of long-term stay option as their signage refers to it as ¨apartments¨and we saw a few people being... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
