We stayed here for one night in Recoleta. The hostel is actually a few streets outside of Recoleta but that didn't matter. However, there is not a lot going on in this part of town at night. San Telmo and Palermo have more bars and restaurants and a better atmosphere on the streets. The hostel was clean, but breakfast was...

One of the greatest parts in my trip in Buenos Aires, without any doubt. Great beds, incredible polite and friendly staff, clean and close to metro station. The down side is the breakfast, with could be upgrade a little more, but is not a deal breaker. Already looking forward for the next visit.

This is a very comfortable and very clean hostel, with very friendly people working there. The Recoleta location is really nice and you can walk to many places of interest quite easily. I stayed in the all-female dorm and had a good stay. Lockers and towels are provided. There is free Wifi as well as computer access, a kitchen, and...

I started out booking one week at Reina Madre but ended up staying all of my 5 weeks in BA! This hostel is just great! It's safe, clean, has a great location with easy access to bar areas, city center etc and the staff is super sweet and helpful! Don't except a party hostel but the awesome rooftop terrace is...

Lots of natural light throughout hostel. Small kitchen, but I think that's normal for Buenos Aires (it was bigger than the one in my previous hostel). Several common spaces. Balcony overlooking the road. Bathrooms and other areas were kept clean throughout the day. Big lockers in the rooms. AC wasn't turned on all of the time and took hours for...

This hostel is amazing ! The location is very good, close to subway and to many bus connections. The hostel is very secure, only guests and staff members can get in never has anything disappeared. The rooms were quite clean and there was air-conditioning. The common space was big and so it was easy to sit together and have a...

As you can see in the photos, the hostel is very cute. The staff was kind and accomodating and had recommendations for every questions I asked about food and travel. The bathrooms were clean. They showers had caddies to hold your things and towels were included in the price of the room. The vibe was very laid back and somewhat...

Closed from the metro (Aguero and Pueyrredon). At the center between Palermo where the nightlife is, and the center where the majority of touristics places are. The owner is straight on his shoes, very friendly. The hostel is clean, bathroom as well. A pretty roof top with a bbq, very nice for begin parties and meet other guests. Only bad...

My sister and I spent two or three nights here and absolutely loved our experience from the start! Alberto was very helpful and patient, a really good guy. The hostel was clean, well organized, and comfortable. The breakfast included warm medialunas, coffee, cereal and milk- it was fantastic! We have been to a few other hostels in BA, and they...

Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
