Good location, very nice and clean rooms, very good breakfast, excellent for economic travel. Subway station 2 blocks far. Very close to the city center, historical places (San Telmo, Plaza de Mayo, Obelisco) and Puerto Madero

For the twin accommodation we paid about 1400 pesos (October prices) for 4 nights. Its clean and secure, and not too tight a squeeze. Bathroom basin leaked a little but otherwise had no problems. Lucky for air conditioner too, otherwise the room could be rather stuffy over warm days. There was a safe but instructions were in Spanish. Breakfast was...

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for sharing your experience. All opinions are important to us. All our rooms have a mini bar with beverages , beers , cereal bars, argentinean alfajores and a can of mixed salty almonds and pistachoes , we are sorry that we do not have kettles in our rooms. Positives: the rooms are clean & there is consistent hot water. Also the location is good. Negatives: unfortunately no one speaks English & when you attempt Spanish they aren't interested. These were the worst reception staff I've come across. They just aren't interested in helping at all. Also the food is terrible. Not a single bar on the toaster lit...

The staff very friendly and helpful. The price was competitive for the area. The breakfasts were better than most hotels for the same price. The rooms were clean, reasonably well-stocked and, above all, were very quiet. With free wi-fi in the reception area and 24 hour service, this was the perfect refuge for a "gringo" traveller who was brand-new to...

We stayed at this hotel due to the cancellation of our flight to Ushuaia ... The hotel is beautiful, tranquil, modern decorated and cozy ... The rooms are very small and very simple, but great for those who just want a good bath and a good night's sleep ... The disappointment is the restaurant ... The food is awful, completely...

The location is quite good, in the middle of city and 10 minutes walking from metro lines C and E. The stuff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I didn't like the breakfast too much (there were no eggs and cheese was also missing in most of the days), but later I found out it is a typical Argentinian breakfast....

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
