Get what you pay for at this hotel. Simple rooms with run down bathrooms. Kitchen had one spoon utensil only. Not as modern as the pictures make it out to be. Close to some good restaurants. 30min walk to centre of town and close to San Telmo. Difficult to communicate with front desk as they don't speak much English/werent overly...

It's not a "4 star" hotel, but the staff was incredibly friendly. The rooms are fairly basic, but clean. The internet is very slow and kicks you off line regularly. But, the price is excellent for the value, and the staff is extremely cordial.

I visited this hotel with a group of 20 people from a national sports team and I understand that it's not easy to handle Big groups. The rooms are spacious and comfortable but most of them need an upgrade, especially in their furniture. We stayed for about 10 days and my biggest complaint would be on the food service and...

I'm not a fan of posting negative reviews but this hotel is anything but a 4 star hotel. It does have very friendly and helpful staff but the hotel doesn't look like the pics in my opinion, the bed in our room was stained, the bathroom was dirty, the WiFi didn't work unless in reception and every room appears to...

Hotel was nice, good location in Buenos Aires. Rooms are comfortable and cleaned on regular basis. Internet connection in the room was weak, kitchenette was fully equipped. Breakfast was modest (mostly sweet pastry, nothing else). However, the price I paid was good, and I don't regret staying in Monserrat.

Again, we stayed in this hotel for another stayover between flights/transportation. The room was clean and relatively big. The staff were helpful, breakfast not really that good, but hey, you get what you pay for. Please note there is only one plug that is European in the room, the rest are Argentinian.

It's a good hotel to stay but it could be better. The wi-fi only works fine in the hotel reception, most of the people who work at it don't care about their guests. They don't do anything to help you, they just follow the rules and that's it. The breakfast is basic with few options and the rooms are good....

Our prior stay, this was a fantastic place to stay. Well, it seems that they know how to build nice new places, but when it comes to maintenance, they're not real good at putting in the money to maintain the property to keep it good. On our first visit, we were greeted by a friendly, knowledgeable, helpful person. On this...

Centrally located to metros and walking distance of myriad sites. We booked a triple room which they didn't have when we arrived. Instead they upgraded us to two lovely rooms (one with kitchenette) on the 7th floor. The wifi was spotty on our floor and we had to have the desk reboot the router several times. Breakfast was good, but...

Not long returned after a great stay in the fantastic city of Buenos Aires with my friends. This Hotel is situated on the edge of San Telmo (where we spent most of our time, great bars and restaurants) and provides a comfortable, clean base for your trip. The staff in the hotel were very helpful and nothing was too much...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
