We had not been in Buenos Aires for 6 years and we were so pleased that we chose Poetry Building. We used to stay in small B and Bs in Palermo for many years, but this time we found that Palermo has changed so much...More
This review is for Loft 2A, and our stay occurred between December 2 and 7 for a family of 4 adults.
I am a huge fan of boutique hotels but am also keen to find accommodations that exhibit the character and charm of the place...More
I'll sum up the Poetry Building this way: If you want to stay in an apartment type place, not a corporate hotel, in a great neighborhood, near restaurants/bars, near transportation, in a safe area, with a great on-site staff, that's clean/neat/modern/spacious -- then this is...More
Cant fault this place. Lovely apartment, we were upgraded from studio to one with seperate bedroom. Loads of room but with same reception and help with trips you get at a hotel. They helped us book the free tour of the Casa Rosada on weekends....More

Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll
also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.

You should ask the hotel specifically but it's located in a neighborhood with many restaurant possibilities so I imagine so. Be sure to try Roux, at Pena 2300, about 2-3 blocks away. Excellent, intimate place.
