This hotel is in a really good location in buenos aires . Close to restaurant and theater. You can enjoy a really good international breakfast here too. The hotel rooms are old . Bug these are really quiet even the rooms the have balconies . It is a good balance between price and quality .

Very good value and location, just steps away from the Lima Subway stop on Avenida de Mayo. If you want to stay where the locals do rather than at a hostel, this is a great place. Faded but very elegant. Wireless can be spotty, but we were able to access it most of the time. Our bed was very comfortable...

I came here on two separate occasions, the first time in 2011 and the last one in January 2014. Hotel Reina is recommended by Lonely Planet and it's easy to see why: the building is simply beautiful: quite big and very central, with tall ceilings and late 1800's decor, making for much more a unique experience than some anonymous big...

The building is very beautiful, the rooms are very large, have high ceilings and a balcony that goes out to Avenida 9 de Julio. The breakfast buffet offers a lot and the staff is very helpful and friendly. We stayed there a few times during our visit to Argentina and felt at home. The only weak point is, that the...

A great old classic building on Avenida de Mayo 1120, at the corner of Avenida 9 de Julio, very near the Obelisco . Antique furniture that gives the hotel a special charm. Location: conveniently & strategically located, near two underground lines: A (station: Lima) and B (Station: Avenida de Mayo). Near many bus stops. Restaurants, pizzerias and bars nearby. Some...

I definitely recommend staying at this conveniently located, great old classic hotel. Not only was the breakfast the best we had in Argentina (a huge buffet that included many different types of breads, pastries, cereal, fruits, eggs, ham and cheese), but we had a great high ceiling room with a balcony (on the second floor overlooking Avenida 9 de Julio)....

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
