Dear Ada and Valentyr Thank you very much for a wonderful week in "La Perla". You are very special. So friendly, sweet, funny and filled with hospitality. Beautiful place. The rooms are big and clean. Delicious breakfast with homemade bread, yogurt, orange juice, fruit and good coffee. We got tango lessons every day. Thank you for trying..... Tango is very...

I stayed with Valentyn and Ada for two nights and felt very well looked after. The building is gorgeous, very clean and spacious. Valentyn goes to extra lengths to help, advise and care. The Milonga we went to was an experience I'll never forget! Plus they are great dancers... Go visit whilst you still can!

This is just a lovely B&B! I stayed here twice on my trip: once for a night before heading down to Bariloche to go skiing and then afterwards for five days exploring Buenos Aires. The eternally happy Ignacio looked after me and gave me so great ideas for walks around the city and he even managed to get me to...

We stayed with Valentyn and Ada for 5 days earlier this month and we could not be happier with our decision. It was our first time in Buenos Aires and since our arrival they made sure to provide us with helpful local insights that you do not find in any travel guide. The breakfast which includes fresh homemade bread, organic...

I have travelled the world for many years and it is very rare that you find accommodation with such welcoming hosts. Valentyn and Ada couldn't have been more helpful, a mine of information and recommendations on how to get the best out of your stay in BA. They also helped to provide an insight into local culture that would otherwise...

Valentyn and Ada are ideal hosts, and were extremely helpful both before our arrival and during our stay. The personal attention/assistance was very much appreciated, and the location was ideal. The caveat is that our room (and presumably all rooms) have no air conditioning, and during the summer Buenos Aires can be extremely hot and humid. Our room had a...

My friend and I stayed at La Perla for 10 days while we looked for an apartment for our study abroad program. Ada and Valentyn are absolutely wonderful hosts and extremely kind people, they even offered to help us find an apartment. Our room and bathroom were always kept very clean and the breakfast in the morning is perfect before...

I stayed for 5 nights with Ada and Valentyn and they made my stay just perfect. La Perla is very centrally located - so just great for morning runs in Puerto Madero or sightseeing in San Telmo. Breakfast was delicious with home made bread, fresh fruit, yogurt, fresh orange juce and of course dulce de leche. Every morning Valentyn asked...

La Perla lived up to all of the great reviews that I read while researching for and planning our trip. Valentyn and Ada always answered all of my e-mails very promptly and with much detail. We visited Argentina over Christmas 2016. I worried about what we would do for Christmas dinner as I read how most restaurants were closed on...

Our hosts, ada and Val made our five nights in Buenos Aires very memorable. They arranged for us to join them for a lovely New Year's Eve dinner; the next night we went to see them tango at a regional club. Our breakfasts were great, with home made bread, yoghurt and fresh fruit. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
