We stayed at "La Perla" for a couple of weeks in November 2016; initially, we decided for just one week, but everything worked so well that we extended our stay for another one. The owners are both very helpful for all necessities and willing to give information about the city. They even spent several nights dining with us and in...

After spending five days with Ada and Valentyn, I can see why they are top ranked. It all starts with the arrival. Valentyn showed me my room then sat down with me to go over the city over a coffee. On a map, Ada and Valentyn showed me the main attractions and how best to reach them. They asked me...

We stayed at Ada and Valentyn's for several days during our vacation in Argentina. As we enjoyed our stay very much, we came back several times when we stayed in Buenos Aires to get from one destination to another. It was always nice to come back. The location in the city is perfect, as the Bed and Breakfast is located...

Beautifully renovated building with high ceilings give a feel of what lies within Buenos Aires - architecure with European influence. Good sized rooms in a great location and with friendly, informative hosts. Continental breakfast was adequate, beautifully presented. Wifi good. Highly recommended.

This B&B is an absolute find! Elegant rooms, such comfortable beds and such peace and quiet, at a block from the presidential palace - incredible. Fresh, healthy breakfasts, great conversations with wonderful hosts who gave helpfull ideas and recomdations, even taking me with them to events. A thoroughly pleasant time - highly recomended.

My partner and I haven't done many B&Bs before but were swayed by the reviews. It ended up being a lovely four-day stay in central Buenos Aires, just off the Plaza de Mayo. The owners were away but Ignacio was a brilliant host, helping us whenever and however he could. Noise travelled at times through this old building, but it...

We don't like anonymous hotels and always choose a place to stay with more identity, where you can get in touch with local culture. La Perla was an excellent choice. Ada and Valentyn were not there during our stay. Our host was Nacho. He is a local who speaks English and we really enjoyed talking with him during breakfast. He...

Ignacio and Rebecca made me feel a part of Buenos Aires during my stay. They shared local treasures with me and even involved me in their activities. And if you are into Tango, don't look further, Rebecca and Ignacio will make you experience the authentic Tango culture in Buenos Aires.

In places to stay, we look for an authentic hotel or b&b in a central location. We found la Perla to be perfect. Simply decorated, the rooms are comfortable and quiet, with the best bathroom ever. Breakfasts were a healthy start to a day of sightseeing, monitored by our host. Couldn't have asked for more.

We stayed a few days in May and really enjoyed it. The rooms are nicely decorated with comfortable beds. You can't hear any traffic noise. Ada & Valentyn are very friendly hosts. It was as if we were staying with friends. We loved the breakfasts with homemade bread and very good coffee. Highly recommended!

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
