I had three seperate bookings throughout April and was highly impressed with the helpful reception and concierge teams. Between stays we left our baggage for five days in total without fear of losing anything! (Yes in South America)They were informative, friendly and organised tickets to the sold out football at La Boca. There's a well equipped gym (free weights and...

You always know what to expect at an Intercontinental Hotel. Buenos Aires is no different. Room was very spacious and included concierge level access. Beautiful location with easy walking access to the charm and activities this city has to offer. No doubt I will recommend and return.

I first stayed at this hotel in 2007. Returned in March 2017-10 years later. It's a bit worn. The bar seems to lack any vibe to it. The breakfast was excellent, worth the money. The doormen are really good. The hotel isn't in the best location. I would recommend a hotel in the recoletta next time. Our room was nice,...

Efficient and welcoming reception staff, good restaurant and bar. Smoking in atrium section left something to be desired so we sat at inside bar. Room was very clean and large. Concierge service was very helpful.

Ideal location. Large, clean rooms. Pool and gym (indoor). Decent restaurant. Reasonably priced bar. Concierge service. Excellent overall. Try and avoid during demonstrations however, which are a regular occurrence in Buenos Aires. They tend to happen in the square or roads beside the hotel.

This hotel was top notch with a great room and bed and drinking and eating places within it. However, the neighborhood around it did not look good. It looked okay to walk in the daytime but not at night. The hotel was within the downtown area of Buenos Aires which made it convenient for sightseeing, shopping and the like.

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
