We were fortunate to be upgraded to a large suite as a Platinum Ambassador member. The room was one of the best rooms we've ever stayed in. Large entrance hall, separate sitting area with good sized desk, very large bedroom and all beautifully furnished. Large bathroom and shower suite as well. Absolutely fabulous. We we also treated to a large...

This hotel is geared towards the business man. The rooms are nice and understated. However the electrical and plumbing are out dated. The room had a desk with 2 plugs, hardly enough for today's tech savvy travelers. The Internet was off and on. And the lighting was dim at night. The bed was comfortable. But the shower did not drain...

Have stayed here twice one last month. Hotel rooms are a decent size. Try not to get one close to the lifts as it sounds like an aircraft taking off every time a lift goes past your floor. Breakfast is very reasonable and the terrace restaurant on the ground floor serves excellent food. Internet is a rip off for this...

I stayed at the hotel the last night before leaving South America after around four wonderful weeks touring the continent. The hotel is very beautiful and just a few blocks from Avenida 9 de Julio which is considered the widest avenue in the world. I found the staff to be very friendly and efficient. Location: very central. Close to all the major tourist sites yet on a pleasantly quiet street. We walked to and from the hotel many times. Day, night. Not once did we feel in anyway unsafe. I fail to see how anyone could consider this a 'bad' or 'dangerous' area.  The hotel: very nice hotel, elegant lobby and public areas. Free...

We really enjoyed this hotel. When we arrived we realised the cab driver didn't have the meter on and wanted to charge us double which didn't match what we'd been told by someone else upon arrival at the airport. Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
