We were a little unsure about this hotel before booking, as most people recommended the Park Hyatt or Faena. But we wanted the location of the Recoleta with the great pool, and we weren't disappointed. While they are a bit dated, the rooms are extremely comfortable and spacious. We were upgraded to a Jr. Suite at check in, a pleasant surprise given it was the busiest time of the year. Our room was lovely, clean, had a great view of the pool and mansion (I suggest asking for this view), and had all of the necessary comforts. A lovely display of fruit, local cookies and fresh water awaited us. Every person we came into contact with was friendly, helpful, and provided the kind of 5-star service that you'd expect from the Four Seasons brand. I was very impressed by the great English that most of the staff spoke. My wife wasn't feeling well one of the days, and several members of the staff separately noticed and kindly checked on her later. Wow, what truly great service.

There's a great coffee display in the morning until 10am, with croissants and fresh coffees and teas. Getting breakfast included is important, as it's a delicious buffet and a la carte menu with everything one could want. I especially enjoyed the daily rotation of local pastries and delicacies and my wife couldn’t get enough of the scrambled eggs.

The pool was also really great, with fantastic service and a good menu. It got crowded on nice days, but overall was a nice place to relax and the staff did an excellent job of accommodating everyone.

The only critiques are that the hotel is a bit dated in both the lobby and rooms, and that the it was loud a few of the nights. The latter may be due to our proximity to the elevator and lounge area. A refresh on the lobby, and carpet / tiles, baths, and some furniture in the rooms would go a long way.

Overall we had a fantastic stay and will return.s a nice place to relax and the staff did an excellent job of accommodating everyone.

The Four Seasons has a nice outdoor pool in a courtyard behind the main hotel across from a mansion it also owns and a great location in Recoleta. There is nice shopping on the streets near the hotel and the Recoleta cemetery is in walking distance. The staff is incredible, as you would expect from a four seasons. We had one of the best check-ins ever, in which the receptionist showed us on a map the various neighborhoods we should visit. The hotel has a nice lobby, and the club floor also has a nice seating area (and small outdoor balcony). The rooms are nice and comfortable. The breakfast was also excellent, with great service.

We were only there for 2 nights but they were very enjoyable. The room was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed whilst the public areas were welcoming, being served by very friendly and helpful staff. The food we had (primarily breakfast) was very good, while the bar had a a warm ambiance to it, again with excellent staff. There is also a very nice pool area - sampled by my wife - and a spa facilty.
There is a selection of restaurants just across the way from the hotel while it is close to a number of tourist attractions, a number of which are within walking distance.
A great place to stay when in Buenos Aires1

I have just returned from my seventh visit to Buenos Aires and my seventh stay at the superb Four Seasons in that exciting city. There are simply not enough superlatives to describe this hotel. It is large enough to offer every service I needed, yet small enough to be both elegant and exclusive feeling.

As an AMEX Platinum member booking through the Fine Hotels & Resorts program, I was upgraded from a king room to a junior suite overlooking the pool. Our suite was spacious, stylish, immaculately clean, and so very comfortable. Not to mention cool in the early summer heat and silent. We also had access to the club lounge on the 7th floor where coffee and soft drinks are available all day and a happy hour with wine, beer, and snacks are provided from 5-7 PM.

The thing about this hotel which distinguishes it even further is the very high quality of service. You never have to ask twice for anything. I am allergic to feathers and on my first visit in 2012, I asked to have the bed made with synthetic pillows and simple cotton blankets. It was done immediately. On every subsequent visit, I have arrived to discover my bed made up the same way. Where do you find service like that these days? Everything is done promptly with a smile, from ordering coffee at breakfast or drinks by the pool to getting a taxi from the doormen.

The location on the border of Recoleta and Retiro at the foot of the Avenida 9 de Julio cannot be beaten, with great shopping, restaurants, galleries, museums, and the famous Teatro Colon within walking distance.

Finally, the pool is just a knock out. Perfectly sized, relaxing, and with the same impeccable service you find everywhere at this fine property. If this hotel is within your budget and a visit to beautiful Buenos Aires is on your itinerary, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a stay here. You will not regret it. I am already looking forward to my eighth stay.

Exceptionally good hotel. Everything is top notch - from extra spacious rooms with super comfortable bed and pillows, phenomenal bathroom in which you can enjoy champagne in your bath tub while watching TV or listening to the music from the TV built in the massive bathroom mirror, to impeccable service. Location is also superb, in a high-end (and safe!) neighborhood of BA with lots of great restaurants and bars (hotel also has two very good restaurants. One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Our Family of 10 visited The Four Seasons Hotel in Buenos Aires Dec 28th- Jan 1.
The Hotel is beautiful& is situated in a great area in the city. The Outdoor pool was very nice . The attendants around the pool and in all restaurants were extremely friendly and attentive. We all enjoyed the delicious breakfast which is beautiful appointed each morning. The Pony Lounge in the Hotel is also a cool spot to hang out and enjoy a drink . But the most impressive thing about the hotel was how helpful the front desk & Concierge was. Pablo from Concierge worked with us prior to our arrival , helping us plan our New Years eve and other dinner reservations, and when we had an issue due to Two of us being sick on New Years Eve & not being able to attend, our prepaid dinner , Pablo & Magali in Concierge were so kind and contacted the Restaurant to help us get a refund.
Also, When we checked in to our room and had stayed one night, we realized that our AC was broken. The Hotel placed us in an upgraded room on the Concierge level & sent us Champagne,& a cheese plate. They were very apologetic!
I highly recommend this Hotel if you are staying in Buenos!

I am currently staying at this hotel. Generally a good hotel and what you would expect from a five star hotel, but not an exceedingly nice experience. It’s just my first night, and we have already had several issues. For example, while sitting in the lobby with my husband and baby a security guard came to confirm that I was actually a guest. I would normally be fine with this because security and privacy is part of what I appreciate in five star hotels, but this seemed a little targeted as none of the guests who were 10-20 years my senior were approached. Ten minutes later, one of the older men in the lobby vomited all over. He was very drunk (appeared to be from the hotel bar), and clearly not a hotel guest. This obviously ruined my night and churned my stomach. The lobby stunk like vomit. The man sat there overlooking his vomit for five minutes. I alerted security of what had occurred, and they seemed a bit disorganized on how to handle the situation. The guard notified the rest of security about what had occurred and we all waited for someone to kick the guy out. Five minutes past, then ten minutes. Man is still sitting there dripping in vomit with his hands on his head. Finally I left the lobby because the guards were just standing over him trying to figure out what to do. The man seemed to be drunk from the hotel bar, but it’s hard to know because nobody was monitoring the guests or the situation. The lobby of a hotel at this level should not be for parties and drunks. If someone is that drunk at the hotel bar, have them removed, do not let them wander into the lobby. If someone vomits on the lobby rug, definitely have him removed and have the room cleaned. I expected more from the hotel regarding both preventing this situation from occurring and fixing it promptly once it occurred. Not the family friendly vibe I expected from a four seasons. The room itself is well appointed and the overall experience outside of this has been fine, but not excellent. I imagine you could get a similar experience for a hotel half this price. Hoping things turn around tomorrow, but so far we are disappointed.

Our very first Four Seasons stay and you are in a whole new class of hotels. The people who work there are top notch. You feel right at home and the quality is First Class. Our favorite part was meeting Cesar at Elena. Cesar is amazing so even if you aren't staying at the Four Seasons, dine at Elena and meet him. The hotel is just one giant welcome mat starting with our early arrival which made us so happy. You fly all night to get somewhere and despite some mis-information saying you need an appointment to access the property, this is not true. This is a hotel like any other, with a lobby like any other, and access like any other. We started our Seabourn cruise from here and felt 100% safer than any other hotel in any other city in the world. The concierge helped us find Bettina-Rizza designs not far away and we ordered a beautiful 24 hour made leather jacket, completely custom. What a fantastic stay and we will never forget Four Seasons Buenos Aires and all the great things we learned about this city from our favorite person in Buenos Aires, Cesar!!

You won’t find better accommodations in the city! I have stayed at many Four Seasons, but I’ve never ever experienced the level of service that Agustin and the team at this Four Seasons Buenos Aires provided. From the moment we arrived, we never touched our bags, they were placed in our room, and all of us were greeted by name, my children included. Having all of us acknowledged, welcomed, and made to feel like the most special VIP guests was impressive! Check in was simple, speedy, and pleasant. We were escorted to our room where a welcome letter and treats for all of us were waiting, and then reminded of our reservation that had been previously arranged, since they also send a welcome email and recommend several activities, restaurants, etc and handle all of it. Throughout our stay, if I called for anything, it was brought immediately. I called down one night for a reservation to Pony line and told them I would be down. When I exited the elevator, Agustin was waiting and walked us to Pony Line to ensure we were taken care of. They are constantly refilling the water, coffee, amenities, so even if you use it in the morning, by afternoon/eve it is refilled and you are never wanting for more! There is not a single detail they miss, they are perfectionists! I was worried about coming to BA and the level of security, attention, and service here made me feel extremely comfortable, safe, and like we made the best decision. You are in a safe neighborhood and within walking distance to many many restaurants, coffee, convenience stores, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else! Many Four Seasons and other brands should really train or take notes from Agustin, I don’t think I’ve found someone of his caliber yet on all our travels around the world, he deserves a promotion or recognition! We stayed in 4 different accommodations and none came close to the care and excellence of Four Seasons Buenos Aires! Bravo!

This is a great location, walking distance to a beautiful mall, surrounded by boutiques, restaurants, parks and art sculptures. The hotel is well staffed and everyone is very helpful. Our room was stocked with waters each night at turn down and they have a wonderful coffee maker in the room. The bed is so comfortable. We had a spectacular view and we’re only on the third floor. The bathroom even has a great view window.

Hi. I was there in December, after the riots over the change in pension arrangements. I was travelling with a girl friend. We felt safe at the hotel and in the surrounding area - you just need to be sensible about the areas/streets you walk down, particularly at night, but as you say, it’s the same anywhere.

Most restaurants in Buenos Aires will be closed for lunch; however, due to the 25th falling on a Sunday we will see some open for Argentina style brunch such as Casa Felix. Hotels will have there restaurants open for Lunch. For dinner on the 25th most restaurants will be open. Let us know if you need any further help.
