This hotel is in a brilliant location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit tired though. Breakfast each morning was sensational but the restaurant downstairs was disappointing both in terms of food and service. Would stay again though and recommend it to other travellers as it is great value for money.

So so Location wise but good enough. Supermarket across the street which has cheaper groceries or beer or wine. The Italian place across the hotel is actually pretty good also! Air conditioner was not working and was hot and didn't work at all for the 3 days we were there.

Rooms dont have ac, its central so be prepared to claim if its hot. Central rooms go to inner patios so you hear all noises. Breakfast is ok, location is good. Also had a problem with a flooded bathroom but its just part of not being maintained not a 4 star.

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
