I agreed with all of the reviews here. The hotel is charming, the staff is friendly and the location is excellent!! My fiance and i were attending a wedding in Buenos Aires so we had late night and we needed to lie in the mornings. We were unfortunately not able to do that since the housekeeping staff was up at...

We enjoyed our visit to 1555 Malabia for our first visit to Buenos Aires. Since we were traveling to Patagonia for five days, we booked our reservation for the front and back end of our trip. The hotel was very accommodating to meet our needs. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and wonderful. The rooms were ample and comfortable. The...

I stayed at 1555 Malabia House in January 2006 on the way to Futaleufu, Chile to do some whitewater rafting. Malabia House is in the best neighborhood in Ba, Palermo. The staff was wonderful. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, the regular continental deal. There is a small free computer room upstairs. The rooms are large and have great bathrooms. This...

We originally were scheduled to stay at a little B&B in Palermo, BA...but upon arrival, we were horrified with the conditions of the supposed B&B that were really more in line with a low-budget hostel. So we began making emergency phone calls to find a more desirable place to stay. The Malabia had a cancelation (we had tried to book...

We just stayed five nights at Malabia House, and could not have been more pleased with the accomodations, location, food, and most importantly, the staff. The B&B was recently restored, and has more the feeling of a house than a hotel, with elegant modern furnishings that provide hints of the building's past. The breakfasts served famiy-style are also a treat,...

Just didn't know what to expect! Hotel website very enticing so we went for it and booked. Mind you there were so many good reviews in the BA guide books and various websites that our expectations were high before we arrived. In the heart of the bohemian Palermo barrio of BA there we found the Malabia House Hotel (don't forget...

The house is a beautiful renovated convent in a cool, hip neighborhood in Buenos Aires. The only reason I didn't give it an excellent rating is that most rooms have bathrooms out of the bedrooms. Still private bathrooms, though. Ours was just across the room but that wasn't always the case. Other than that, it's perfect. The staff got out...

The hotel, and its people, were wonderful. Clean, spacious room, delicious breakfast, cooked to order, gratis evening libations and extremely helpful staff. It is located in the Palermo...

This B&B is some kind of petite luxury hotel in the coolest Buenos Aires neighborhood (Palermo). Excelent if traveling in a romantic getaway (I did it for business and really worked out!). You receive personalized attention, the staff is really helpfull. The only con (which is not exactly something negative) is that in the kind of room I stayed (139...

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
