This hotel is in a good location but it's very run down. It needs a lot of upkeep. Bathroom is very crowded. Hardly any space to walk between toilet and sink. Rust on ceiling in bathroom. The bottom bed sheet is not fitted and it slides all over which is gross to be sleeping on just the mattress at times....

Located on a side street just half a block from the once famous Florida street, used to be one chic hotel (back then). Nowadays, in need for a good renovation, specially the furniture. Is is not a too safe neighborhood to walk around at night.

The hotel has a magestic front and is indeed good looking from the outside as well as the inside and the location is great. The rooms are simple but clean and confortable, the reception was extrelelly polite and helpful with everything and the maid was very friendly and smily. Great breakfast too. However nobody helped with the luggage when I...

The Claridge is an older hotel but has character. The staff were helpful. Rooms were small but tidy and reasonably clean. Good location in Buenos Aires (very central for our needs). Close to taxis and shopping. Not far to attractions.

Yes it's old fashioned but this hotel is comfortable, very central, and the rooms are a good size. But the best thing is the staff- so helpful and professional, and courteous without being subservient.

An imposing structure dating from Buenos Aires' heyday this hotel boasts many fine period pieces: high ceilings, wood pannelling, marble, grand facade. It is also well located in the central Retiro area. The rooms are in need of renovation & some refurbishment though they are perfectly ok. The staff are friendly & helpful, snd breakfast was great. The pool was...

The hotel is based in a lovely old building in a quiet but convenient location. The bedroom was a good size and comfortable. Agree with some of the comments re updating the bathroom and the hairdryer was slow. However, the ambience and the staff were excellent. Everything was organised with a minimum of fuss and the reception staff spoke excellent...

Old type hotel, nice spacious rooms, bathrooms need faucets to be upgraded, clean hotel, well kept. Excellent breakfast. A place to stay within a budget in the middle of downtown buenos aires, walking distance to puerto madero, to theaters, good restaurants.

Spent 2 nights here. The hotel is located just 1/2 a block from the pedestrian street Florida which is more pleasant to walk down than a street with traffic. Although the lobby isn't the most elegant, it is impressive with a lot of marble and wood. It only needs a few comfortable seats. Staff was efficient and helpful (offering great...

The staff was sensational, quick on their feet and ready to go out of their way to help you with anything you might need during your stay. The problem is the building. Basically from my room I could hear my neighbors breath, snore, have a phone call, ... plus I could hear the sound of the AC from the room...
