This hotel is a very good place to stay, and it's located on the heart of downtown, near to metro station and near to Casa Rosada. The room was clean and comfortable. I recommend this hotel

This is not a bad hotel, it is simply extremely basic. The rooms and bathrooms are tiny. Everything is clean and the front desk personnel are very friendly. For me, the biggest problem was the church in front of the street, which start to ring the bells at 7 am every 15 minutes.... so if you want to have a...

The only positive aspect is the location: next to Plaza de Mayo. So if you are looking for a place in which to sleep only, not very nice and elegant but basic, this is the hotel for you. If you are looking for a comfortable hotel in which spend different days, with elegant and nice rooms, this is not the...

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. There are only 2 good things about it: - the location, next to Florida street, Plaza San Martín, Casa Rosada and so on - the room, the towels and the sheets in the bed were very clean, I don't have complains about it However: - the breakfast is poor - the shower...

If you plan on visiting the city, and just need a place to sleep and shower, this hotel will do the trick. It's in a pretty good location. A lot of the tourist attractions are within walking distance, a hippy fair nearby where the local artists display their crafts, as well as stores and malls. There is nothing fancy about...

The staff at the hotel were very helpful but could not speak English well. The hotel was around the corner from Plaza de Mayo making it a very centralized location. It is situated near a couple of subte (subway) lines and it was easy to hail a cab. The breakfast could have been better considering the price. The daily fair...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
