Old building but Very elegant, clean and good location with several top restaurant options around. Recoleta is a very nice area to be while in BUrnos Aires Rooms with nice decoration in a classic style. I'd recommend both for business travellers and tourists.

We found this hotel through Bookings.com and we're so happy we did. The location is great in Recoleta. Very safe place to walk the streets and close to some of the tourist attractions. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom is very nice. The employees at the front desk are very helpful. We would stay there again.

In my first visit to the Melia I was amazed by the delicious breakfast with a wide variety of choices in a beautiful setting, and the very stylish rooms. On my second visit I was impressed when the desk remembered me by name! Such great service, a beautiful property, and a great location in Buenos Aires.

The hotel is very well-located on one of the prime quiet streets close to the Recoleta cemetery. Generally comfortable with a nice lobby. The rooms are large and well-appointed but a renovation is urgently needed. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast. A few drawbacks: Dining room has a TV running all the time and the breakfast room suffers from...

We stayed here for three nights and was very pleased about the whole experience. The mystic of the hotel is still intact. It has elegance and style of yesteryear. We stayed on the street side in on a high floor #7 and was very pleased with the pretty large comfortable antique room with modern facilities. The bathroom is small, but...

The reception at the front desk and the sparkling wine and tango music in the room was the high point of our stay. For a single person the room is fine for two people the bathroom is inadequate. The AC in lobby wasn't working, pool and fitness center quite small and old. The location in Recoleta is very good and...

Our mistake was that we only stayed at this lovely small hotel for one night. We regret not changing our booking and staying longer at the hotel. Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
