Room was good size, everything worked and communal kitchen a great way to meet people - highly recommended for single travelers and Tango lovers!!! Wood floors, and a cute garden and a very friendly black cat and not too noisy. Location great for San Telmo market on Sundays

Pablo's cacita is a very good value place to stay in the San Telmo district, just down the street from the legendary Sunday market. There is a kitchen available that guests share and shared bathrooms. Good talk around the kitchen table with other travellers. Would stay here again.

Small but tastefully decorated rooms. Not all rooms have an en suite bathroom but our room with a double bed did and it was much appreciated. Lovely courtyard with bench; communal kitchen; shared bathroom. Located near busy main road but right in the heart of fab San Telmo. Friendly, accommodating owner.

Accommodation in this former private house is ideal for people wanting to be close to San Telmo, La Boca and areas close to Ba As central. The security and private garden is a world away from the surrounding areas. Communal kitchen is great to make up your own meal arrangements if required.

My husband and I and our young adult daughter stayed here 5 nights in July, 2013. Though Erin had been studying in Montevideo for a semester, I made the reservation with no prior experience in South America. A guide book led us to La Casita. Though we are no more than tango fans, I was intrigued by the tango connection,...

So we have just cleared customs at EZE after an all-night flight and are looking for the taxi we booked through La Casitas del San Telmo. Looking and waiting. Lots of drivers but no one with my name in the waiting area. I call the Casita. Someone answers and says it's not the right number, call the taxi number. The...

La Casita De San Telmo is a family home with several rooms available to let. Some rooms have their own bathroom and there are also shared facilities. There is a good sized kitchen which is available to all, and on occasion the family will invite you to dine with them. Also, there is an in house computer with good speed...

Staying in San Telmo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Telmo
Characterized by cobblestones and narrow streets, San Telmo is defined by the tango, the dance that made Buenos Aires world-famous. Tango is a fusion of many different cultures: a true child of immigration, much like the city itself. Nowadays, it comes alive after dark in the milongas (dance parties) attended by both locals and visitors alike, who dance until the wee hours of the morning. During the day, the antique shops and classic cafés and bars around Plaza Dorrego dominate the scene. The emblematic Bar Plaza Dorrego, with its green awnings, checkered tile floors, and wooden interiors, takes you back in time the moment you step inside. For true porteño traditions, San Telmo is the place to be.
