For my last night in Buenos Aires, I decided to treat myself to something a bit above budget and settled on Livian Guesthouse, especially after reading all the great reviews and seeing it's central location in the Palermo neighborhood. I was not disappointed. This was perfect for what I needed. I originally booked the treehouse but when I arrived they... More

Livian Guesthouse was wonderful for our week long stay in Buenos Aires! We loved the hospitality of all the people who worked there. The room was clean, quiet and well appointed. There was one night when the guests next door seemed to talk loudly, but they didn't stay up late :) We loved sitting outside on the patio, or bringing... More

We went on our honeymoon and could not have had a better time. Great service and great people. Best part about Livian is their wonderful outdoor area. Great area for relaxing and having a glass of wine.

Staff is very helpfull. Location in Palermo Viejo is perfect, everything within walking distance. Big plus! The rooms were clean, that said, upstairs is better than downstairs (we stayed in three different rooms). Great patio in the back, and the interior design is nice and attractive. Wifi could be better though, also the mattrasses.

Booked for 4 nights but stayed 5. Room had good heating and plenty of hot water in shower. Plenty to eat for breakfast, cereal, fruit, yogurts, toast and eggs. Beautiful old house with garden, 10-15 mins walk to Palermo restaurants. Staff are fantastic, so friendly and helpful and full of local knowledge. They helped us choose and book a Tango... More

Recently stayed a week at Livian Guesthouse while visiting my daughter - loved it. Super friendly staff, great location on the south edge of Palermo, clean, comfortable, etc. Place really reminded me of that first cool apartment you wanted to have when you first moved to a big city and were totally hip with the world. If you're looking for... More

I was part of a group of 5 travellers from New Zealand in mid 20's, backpacking through Buenos. An excellent stay. Just a beautiful guesthouse, full of character, with some lovely artwork adorning the walls. The staff were particularly helpful and well co-ordinated (much thanks to Tomas). Easy taxis from the airport (the guesthouse organised these perfectly and at short... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
