Yes they are friendly and you are part of the family because you are in their house literally. With all the kindness it just didn't justify the lack of cleanliness in the room or the lack of repair. When asked about the dirt falling on the pillows from the rotted ceiling they just wanted to know if it was wet....

Our stay was pleasant enough, but the place could do a bit more if they want to compete with other B&Bs near Mendoza. One item that they are stuck with is the location. Certainly the family are descendants from Italian immigrants (pictures on the walls), but 21 century life has moved into the neighborhood. Now the villa is situated on...

A welcoming garden of color and peace in the midst of a vast city, the physical coolness of this old place was complemented by the attentiveness of the staff (all, of the family of the Italian immigrants who built the inn as their residence nearly a century ago). The room was a bit austere, but well away from the street...

+ rooms are very clean (except for a piece of cloth the maid left in my room) and comfortable + good rate for the room, especially compared to the prices of the competitors o free soap but no shampoo available o Laundry service is available but a bit expensive at 60 ARS for a small bag o no credit cards...

We, 2 couples, ended our road trip through La Rioja, San Juan and Mendoza here at Chalet de Bassi - and what a nice place it was. We didn't only "stay" there - you became a small part of a great story and family. The house was build by the "Bassi family", who came from Italy to Argentina in 1920,...

This is a great choice for budget travelers that do not want to stay at a hostel. It is an old historic family home south of Mendoza in the Godoy Cruz area – closer to the wineries in Maipu and Lujan de Cujo areas. Situated on a busy corner during the day, the busses come by here and it’s easy...
