You go to Mendoza for wine. The wine is great. This hotel is a little out of town (10 minutes walk) but if you're after somewhere to store your bags whilst you're out all day at the local vineyards, and a decent place to rest at the end of the day then it's great. The rooms are simple. The breakfast... More

The strength of Los Varietales B&B is in its staff. The owner Mariana and her staff handled all our questions and made event reservations for us without making us feel like we were imposing or being silly. Part of the reason Los V. is a great value is that it is a bit out from the parks and the shopping... More

My daughter and I recently stayed at Los Varietales. It is a pleasant lodging on the northern edge of the city of Mendoza. The rates were incredible, as was the lovely facility. Our hostess was extremely helpful in answering questions and suggesting things to do. We would definitely return!

We stayed a week longer than planned because of the comfort and hospitality of Los Varietales. The staff makes the traveler feel welcomed, and owner Mariana continues to improve what was once her family's home. She speaks perfect English and is extremely helpful with travelers' needs. She even arranged for us to take Spanish lessons for a week from an... More

We arrived in Mendoza without a place to stay, but had jotted down this place as it was listed on hostalbookers. We ended up staying for 4 nights in a double room with ensuite as all of the other affordable places in town were booked and this was a fine place to stay. Not great. Not terrible. The beds were... This review is a couple of months late, but could be useful to others who plan to stay at Los Varietales in the future. We found the hostel on trip advisor and were amazed by the reviews, as well as the pictures posted of the hostel. However, the pictures are a bit misleading and don't give a real or fair... More

Because of the reviews on Tripadvisor I made a reservation at Los Varietales for the beginning of November. But this was a very disappointing choice. When we arrived with a taxi we didn't have enough peso's and the lady of Los Varietales payed for us which was great service. Once inside it all looked fine, not very luxurious or anything,... More

We stayed about 7 nights in this very quiet place just 6 blocks from downtown. Marianna, the lovely owner, speaks fluently english and is very helpfull and knowledgeable. She is happy to look for the best recommendations and give personal but professional advice , from winetours, mountain tours or even a haircutter.. . Extra advantage is Marianna's wine knowledge as she... More

I stayed at Los Varietales for a week and would recommend it. The rooms aren't anything special, they're more like private rooms in hostels than hotel rooms, and they're priced accordingly. The differences are that the rooms have private baths, and many (including mine) have TV and air-conditioning, and that the breakfast was the most generous and tasty I had... More

We enjoyed our 4 night stay at Los Varietales B & B. A bit of a stroll from the centre of town (6-8 blocks) but you do need a good walk after overindulging on the Mendoza food and wine! The room was compact but very clean. After using the shower the entire bathroom was drenched. All the rooms are located... More
