My boyfriend and I just finished a stay at Casa Hernandez in SAN Lorenzo and we could not have picked a more charming place. Rijkje was the best- had tea waiting for us and made it easy for us to find our way into Salta. She helped us map out our plan, arranged great activities for us and was such... More

Casa Hernandez in San Larenzo, near Salta is a great place to stay! The rooms are clean, spacious and beds are very comfortable. A special note for the Globies Inn!! Cosy, little house in the garden where you have everything yourself: kitchen, separate bathroom and bedroom. There's a nice swimming pool and a great, big Asado in the garden! In... More

Our third visit to Salta and, I think our 4th or 5th stay at La Casa Hernandez. Still as great as ever and without a doubt, the best B&B we have stayed at in over a year of travelling in South America. Alex and Reijke are consummate hosts and really look after their guests. Nothing is too much trouble. It... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. Casa Hernández is located in San Lorenzo, a perfect little village for rest and relaxation, with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. It is 10km from Salta. Alex and Rijkje, the Dutch owners of Casa Hernández, were perfect hosts. They have travelled throughout South America and were able to give us lots... More

We enjoyed two nights at Casa Hernandez, using it as a base for exploring Salta (not enough time in hindsight). Some people really “get” hospitality and Alex and Rijkje are certainly amongst them. They made us feel very welcome in their home and generously shared their extensive knowledge of Salta and the region – information that definitely helped us make... More

Spent 2 days here in January. A perfect spot to begin the journey around the north. The owners are two beautiful persons and will do whatever to make you feel good and comfortable. It's easy to get to Salta. We were given a bus card and the stop is at the corner of the B&B. (don't forget to give it back)... More

We have been travelling around South America now for 4 months and we found ourselves spending a little more time than planned in Salta due to a broken suspension on one of our motorbikes. We spent in total two and a half weeks at the beautiful Casa Hernandez with Alex and Reijke and we couldn't have wished for a better... More

Our stay at this place was great. We chose to be picked up by Alex from the airport which was a comfortable and pleasant trip to start a perfect stay. On arrival, we were informed about all facilities by him and his partner Rijkje and provided with a bus-ticket (very practical) which we paid for on check-out (at least for... More

Casa Hernandez is in San Lorenzo a few miles outside Salta. It is a quiet, affluent little town and very verdant. There's not a great deal to do but it is pretty, there are some nice walks and a few reasonably good restaurants. Getting into Salta was easy but as we'd already had a few days there we didn't bother.... More
