We stumbled on Casa de Te-Ty Gwyn, on New Year's eve desperately searching for a place to stay in the Town of Gaiman. Everything was closed but, after persistent knocking on the door, we were welcomed by a very nice lady (owner) who agreed to let us stay at the house even though it was closed for the New Year....

Had very nice tea event with them. A Welsh gem in Patagonia. Great service with many choices of sweets. Very much enjoyed the cultural contrast. Great decor and also a gift shop. You should go! You will appreciate building a memory here. If there is a hotel here, that was not why we came and enjoyed it.

This tea house is quite an unexpected find in a small Argentina to town. It is a bit of Wales in atmosphere , decoration and fare. It serves only a full-service Tea, which is tea, a plate with a variety of cakes and bread and jam, a single portion is very large! By our standards enough for two or three...

A very interesting experience getting afternoon tea this far outside of the UK and in a town as small and remote as Gaiman. While we weren't fans of the town, we found Ty Gwyn to be a very fun experience. The tea is strong and tasty and the cakes they give you are plentiful and delicious. I wouldn't recommend this...

we spent a very happy week here visiting the Welsh community during the Eisteddfod. We were made so welcome and were made to feel part of the community. Lovely breakfasts with lots of sweet treats. Don't miss out on the dulche de leche

Very good location in perfect "Galles" style. Good tea, very good cakes and traditional food. The location is perfect for couples or group of people. Is open for lunch, and dinner but in the afternoon as well. Easy to reach, good parking and well known by the travelling companies. Gaiman is famous for the colonization and the town is nice...

A lovely guest house/ small hotel in beautiful grounds. Ty gwyn is owned and run by decendants of the original Welsh settlers who came to Patagonia in 1865. You can be served in Welsh, Spanish or even English - their teas are legendary, home cooked from authentic Welsh recipes. Clean, air conditioned rooms with free wi-fi throughout. Nice local crafts...
