The hostel is run by a family, which makes the ambience is very familial. It is a 10 min walk outside the downtown area in a more quiet neighborhood. This is an advantage, since the center is noisy and you can get a good night sleep here. The owners are very friendly and will help you as much as they...

It's not exactly in downtown (which is probably an advantage, since the city centre could be noisy and crowded). The owners are simply spectacular! Tato and Sandra are excellent hosts, always trying to help you and giving a lot of -good- advices if you want to stick around or travel somewhere else in Patagonia. The ambiance is familiar, you can...

We were very happy with Refugio Patagonia. We were in Bariloche a little under 2 months, and stayed in both the private double rooms, as well as our own apartment that was part of the hostel. The private double rooms are great (would recommend them over the apartment). Comfortable beds, clean, good closet space, fully and equipped shared kitchen. Tato...

“Would recommend picking the private double rooms over one of the apartments for short-term stay. They're newer, cleaner, and have a better kitchen. Although the apartments do have good lake views.”
