Focando, the new owner was very helpful and accommodating- speaks good english too, only stayed for one night but convenient and very close to the bus station and centre of town, rooms clean and comfortable with all the required services needed by most travellers.

Not expecting the world from this but pleasantly surprised. It's not too big - I hate big hostels so it's ok here. The wall pretty thin so you can hear noises but everyday you are dead tired from daily excursions so that's not a problem. Wifi pretty strong in room 2 and big toilet so that's fine. Kitchen is pretty...

This is a family run hostel. The rooms are clean and the common area is nice. We stayed in a private room with its own toilet. The family are very nice and always have a smile for you. The main problem is the heat, the radiator in our room would not turn off and was too hot to put your...

I really enjoyed staying at this hostel - i needed a few days to rest and plan for the next part of my trip and this was perfect. It has good wifi, a big kitchen/communal area, the rooms are clean, it is very very close to the centre and the price is cheaper than most other hostels in the area....

We splurged and paid 80 pesos each for this place. We were greeted quite warmly by a friendly guy that spoke a little bit of English and was helpful in showing us around the hostel and the map of town. We were led to a small 4 bed dorm and given linens to put on the bed and pillow ourselves....

For starters the place looks great on the outside, but it's what's inside that counts. In the kitchen there were several cockroaches, even a dead one in the sugar. The dorm rooms were cramped with barely room for the bags. And all this while having one toilet to ten people.

I really enjoyed this place. It's one and a half block from the bus station and less than 5 mn from the central street (no need to take a taxi or walk up or down the stairs to the city center with all your luggage). It's cute, cozy, and the staff is nice and helpful. The place is clean, and...

Stayed at the Hostel Buenos Aires for 3 nights while visiting El Calafate. I stayed in a small private room which had a bunk bed. This hostel is located only a couple minutes from the bus station and about 5 minutes from the main street in El Calafate. It has a small kitchen/common area with a few tables to sit....

The family that runs the hostel lives on the premises. The walls are very thin, so worse than hearing fellow travelers is hearing the family talking loudly with young kids until 1:00 am. The rooms are on par with price for the area. Also note that even though their overall description says that it includes breakfast, it does not (unless...
