We stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting Ushuaia and its surrounding area. This hotel has personality and charm. The decor is pleasant and rooms are extremely big, comfortable with good bathrooms and amenities. We found the service helpful and friendly and breakfast good. The views are undeniably spectacular! The reason for the average rating is because we felt some things let the place down. Firstly, the walls between the rooms are really thin and we could hear our neighbour's conversation in full at night which wasn't ideal. In addition, whilst we were aware on booking that the hotel was out of town, the free shuttle service wasn't running at all on the day we arrived and finishes at 8pm normally which I think is too early. Finally, whilst not the fault of the hotel at all, the area in front of it (not the side with the views obviously) is somewhat ugly and the roads are unpaved and really muddy which makes heading out even to the shop a very unpleasant experince.

Stayed here for 1 night after a 40 day tour of South America from the Atacama Desert to Ushuaia. Large clean rooms with a view. Breakfast is basic. It is located quite a distance from town but they do have a free shuttle service.

Stayed here on a trip. Friendly staff - rather basic (free) breakfast. Comfortable rooms - there is a bar, but no ‘lounge’ area. Sit at tables instead. As it is a fair way into Ushuaia. The hotel runs a shuttle tali into town - not the most convenient times - but adequate. Taxi from town is 350 pesos. We didn’t have dinner here as the food isn’t the best - we were told by our tour leader.

Nice hotel situated a little ways out of town, but the hotel's shuttle service is very efficient and right on time. Location is great, right on the Beagle Canal which you can access through a long wooden staircase (some steps are missing but we went any way and it was well worth it: lots of wild birds along the stony beach). Breakfast is decent, not great: cold buffet with too many sweets. Free, fast WIFI in the room. Bedrooms are a bit dated but still pleasant with comfortable beds and large windows. The only problem is insulation: the pretty iron bed frames are screwed to the wall at one point only: hence they are not stable and bang on the wall when you move in bed... So, if you happen to have "very active" neighbors (which was our case on the 1st night), you literally will hear their bed banging against the wall all night long ;-) This problem could be easily solved by attaching the frame in several places, making sure it doesn't move... The 2nd night, we made sure to check all the rooms ;-) and moved to the quietest one, the last one on the top floor facing the canal... Staff here is wonderful, friendly and helpful. I found a box of delicious local chocolates in my room for my birthday!!! This hotel is often full as it is used by airlines staff. So, all in all, we recommend this rustic and comfortable hotel with the greatest staff ever!
