From the very first e-mail contact we felt very welcome to Tierra de Leyendas and we were met by a "remis" who took us to this place out of town. I knew it was not in the center, but it requires a lot of taxi driving to this place. We met Sebastion who explained everything about the hotel, the area etc., but we were almost "dying" in the dining room -it was SO HOT inside - also in our room. We closes all the heaters. Why Tierra de Legends is called a "boutique" hotel I don't know - but it is not my kind og style - with heavy curtains, wooden chairs and "dark" colors. Our room had fabulous view of the Beagle canal - and I have have nothing to complain about the room, the bathroom. The bed was fine - had some trouble with the key to the room but its is a minor detail. Breakfast was OK nothing fancy about it -though Sebastian makes fresh bread every day, but its was ordinary. We had dinner - a three course with onion soup -fresh fish and a posters - and it was the most expensive meal we had throughout our whole Argentina tour. Really!! Sebastian is very nice and makes you feel "homy", but the place does not have that "homy" feeling - and is five kilometers away from the city center. Keep that in mind when you book.

Dear Jesper. I am very surprised about your words to the entire world as you leave the survey with a 5 EXCELLENT at our place. I wish I could attach a copy of it here. I am very sorry that we did not feel your expectations. And that you did not like our place or ambiance , I decorated myself. I am trying to understand the problem with wooden chairs, for example. I just want to clarify to future traverls when you write : IT REQURIES A LOT OF TAXI RIDE, is a: - 15 minutes ride to dowtown - 5 minutes to the airport and - 5 minutes to the entrance of the National Park. And those details are very well detailed in the information we sent before confirming any booking. We never offer something different. Regarding the dinner service prices, were you have a private service only for you. - Onion Soup: Usd6.- dollars - Main we serve expensive products as Black Hake, King Crab, around Usd18.- dollars, - Dessserts: around Usd5.- dollars - Welcome drink free - Water is free - We do not charge a service tax as other restaurants do That is our price, for future travelers to know exactly what you mean about expensive while you are sitting on a private place, with a private chef with a service just for guests staying. That of course, is not a profit for us, is a service. Another thing, for you and future guests. If you are hot, you just have to say, "May I open a window?" You came on an extremely hot unusual time, that we may also experience a week per year. You were one of the luckiest travelers that have hot weather at the end of the world. Regarding a boutique hotel, is what is called worldwide a small place with hotel service, attended personally in every detail and with a local character. Private, only for guests staying at the place. Last, and maybe the most important I would very much appreciate if you and travelers (I am also one) would be more respectful with the work of other people who provide their service . Describing my husband's homemade bread as ordinary sounds aggressive. My mum taught me that "Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's ugly" Dessert is all homemade, not just bread, without additives for your health, and reducing packaging taking care on nature. My best Jesper and Julie We hope you have a great vacation

This was my first visit in Ushuaia, which is where I embarked for my Antarctic expedition. Sebastien was amazing as he was so helpful in assisting me with hiking excursions with top guides and top restaurants in Ushaia. I was so impressed that I decided to stay at Tierra de Leyendas for an additional 4 nights after I returned from Antarctica . Important note: Sebastien is an accomplished chef as I dined at Leyendas for 2 nights for excellent fine dining. Best of all, I had left my Kindle reader in my room and Sebastien brought it to me at the airport as I was waiting for my flight! Tierra de Leyendas is the place to stay when Ushuaia!

Room was large and had a beautiful view over the Beagle Sound. Breakfast was great with homemade breads and pastries, and delicious scrambled eggs. The few dinners we had there were wonderful also. My husband had a medical emergency while we were staying there and Sebastian, our host, was wonderful, helpful and sympathetic. He offered to take me to the hospital and suggested his wife could help translate for us. I ended up staying there while my husband was hospitalized for a few days and it was comforting to come home to Tierra de Leyendas after spending the day at the hospital. I would definitely recommend. A short $4 taxi ride to town and Sebastian was helpful about planning activities. Anyway, 5 star rating.

Our stay was only a few short days before our cruise. The hotel had a very home-like feel with a beautiful view of Ushuaia. We rented a car during our stay we’re able to park right out front and Sebastian advised on restaurants and hikes. Breakfast was good and dinner was offered on weekdays as well

Family run small hotel. Very friendly and helpful. Excellent food prepared by Sebastian, the owner. Wonderful position with some rooms overlooking Beagle Channel. Can also see the airport runway from this side of the hotel, which may interest some. Noise is not an issue. Position is on the outskirts of town but taxis are cheap and plentiful.

I give this hotel a 10/10! Family owned business and it shows in all the details that made our experience so rewarding. Personalised treatment starts when contacting Maia for reservations.Booking went smoothly and she solved all my questions regarding excursions and the best way to get the most out of our 4 days stay in Ushuaia. She even recommended an excursion managed by Patagonia Adventure Explorer which was great.Upon arriving to the hotel we were greeted by Seba, her husband, the most friendly host. With a map in hand and a welcoming coffee he showed us all the highlights of the city. Our room was the suite with a jacuzzi and stunning views of the bay. My daughters and son had the triple room..Both rooms were impeccable. The overall style of the hotel is very cozy ,with only a few rooms and there is a living room with books, board games and movies to borrow.A neat garden with a fire pit completes this paradise. Ushuaia is renowed for its food and we had the best experience when Seba, who is a chef, prepared us a superb dinner.Seriously we should have dined at the hotel every night.Seafood and patagonian lamb at their best! All served and explained in detail by their smiling daughter. Breakfast is homemade as well.Seba prepares artisanal jams, bakes the bread and pastries( yummy croissants!). Every morning we had our table for 5 already set and some cards on the table with facts about Ushuaia that broadened our knowledge.Detais, details and more details that show a love for their land in the end of the world. I cannot praise this place enough.Maia and Seba surely go the extra mile and I am so glad I chose them to introduce us to one magnificent place in my country Argentina.

Excellent place to stay. Quite a unique hotel which is lovingly looked after by the owner Sebastian. He makes you feel special, which is very rare in a hotel, this starts when you first walk through the door. A small hotel with only seven rooms but this makes it quite cosy. The room had great views across the Beagle Channel. Nice room and bathroom. Breakfast was good, exactly what I wanted, a continental breakfast with scrambled eggs, if requested. Sebastian is also the cook, an excellent cook, and the evening meals are quite special with a great choice of wine. Try the sea bass, wonderful. I won’t be back, as this is a one off trip for me to Antartica, but if you are passing this way I highly recommend.

Always a sucker for family-owned, boutique hotel and this time it paid off handsomely. Hotel is small and feels very private, it has it's own small garden and green house for fresh salad! Place is well decorated with family's travel around the world, which added to it's uniqueness. It's away from the city, but Sebastian is a great chef, we ate in for 2 of 5 nights here. As we don't speak Spanish, Sebastian helped us called for taxi, restaurants and provide useful recommendations. It's also very near to the Channel, but the roads there are mostly unpaved and dusty. Great view though. Would be nice to have fully blacked-out curtain as sun sets at 10ish pm in summer

Thank you! specially for choosing us for your stay in Ushuaia! And for being family-owned boutique fan! We actually create the place that we would love to arrival if travelers, as we are really small place with personal touch lovers ourselves. Thanks for coming and hope to host you in the future. We appreciate your recommendations and your comments. We completely understand, all our curtains are blacked-out but maybe the cabin shapes allow some light inside. I will add the recommendation of eye covers as the light in summer time is very intense specially at sunrise. We hope it was not very inconvenient and we will try to improve it. Our best! Maria & Sebastian
