Visiting Pequeno Paraiso truly feels like coming home. Whether you are arriving as a solo traveler, camper van, or overland truck of 30+ passengers, lovely Sue will welcome you with open arms. Centrally located for all adventure activities in the area (ziplining, mountain biking, world-class rafting, canyoning, natural hot springs), the hostel is a preferable alternative to busy Banos and...

After much travel this was the perfect place to relax and just enjoy the quiet nature of the cloud forest. It's outside of town, down an adorable cobblestone path we loved walking along to and from Rio Verde. The grounds were lovely, away from the road, with hammock swings overlooking the cloud forest valley and beautiful flowers everywhere. Mark and...

I camped here for 5 nights and even though there was a lot of rain it was a lovely place to be. From the fireflies that I could see through my tent during the night, to the insects and birds greeting me each morning, to the warm sun that poked it's head out every day to dry my tent off,...

Perfect place to stay or camp in a tranquil paradise! Sue has done a wonderful job to provide a large communal dinning area, stocked kitchen, clean facilities and hot hot showers! She invests so much into running the place and making it an enjoyable environment. There are many places nearby to hike or view waterfalls. Great option in a beautiful...

Arrived with a tour group but my husband and I opted to upgrade to a room rather than camp, as we arrived after dark, it was raining, and both of us were still suffering altitude sickness. The best upgrade ever!! Just 9$ per person extra to upgrade to a charming room with private bathroom, be dry all the time, and...

We had planned to camp but the continual rain encouraged us to upgrade to a room. The room was a reasonable size with a small bathroom. At first the room appeared clean but the curtains had many spiders webs, and some spiders. There was a pleasant shared lounge room and kitchen. The gardens and camping sites were very overgrown. The...

Where do I start, this little place truly lives up to it's name, a breathtaking location with lush garden, exquisite birdlife, fabulous facilities and the best hosts you could ask for. It has been over a year since I was last at Pequeno Paraiso and I still miss it terribly. Sue couldn't make you feel more at home and nothing...
