When I got home from staying at this crappy motel I noticed an additional $25 charge on my credit card. When I called to find out what it was for I was told that they charged me for taking a pillow. I did not take their pillow and told her so. She said the manager would call me back the next day. Well, you guessed it, the manager did not call me back - I had to call 5 times over the next three days before they finally said she was there and let me talk to her. She said that I took the pillow and they were not going to refund my money, period. I don't need their pillow and I don't need to do business with a place like this. CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD FOR CHARGES IF YOU STAY AT THIS MOTEL! I SHOULD HAVE CHARGED THEM FOR THE TWO COCKROACHES THAT I KILLED IN MY ROOM!
SEAN was quite helpful on the phone. Travel plans changed and the website was not doing what it needed to do. Three calls in one hour had to be placed to the hotel; SEAN was helpful on all three!
The breakfast has improved with hot protein items; scrambled eggs, bacon and corned beef hash were available.
When checking in, the person at the desk was not particularly accommodating and hostilely suspicious but perhaps some of that was me as it had been a long drive.
The room was clean, well equipped with the AC working well. The other guests were reasonably quiet and thus a good night's sleep happened!
The breakfast staff was quite nice and the blond haired woman at the desk was most helpful with accurate directions; the good night's sleep, great breakfast and helpful front desk....all made an excellent rating for this hotel!
The room was clean, breakfast was good, lobby was presentable. Across the street from railroad tracks, but the rail line isn’t very busy. It is near the river and a great restaurant is right next door. The issue is the smoking setup. If you are upstairs and have a non smoking room, the only way to get to your room is to walk right past smokers or even in between smokers, who are sitting on the stairs. In addition, if your room is anywhere the stairs, the smoke wafts into you room, making it pointless to even ask for a non smoking room. This setup needs to change.
We stopped here for one night, from our home outside Tombstone, Az. On our way to visit family in Joshua tree, Ca. 16 oct 18. The front desk folks were great, courteous, funny, just plain nice... Breakfast was good, room was fine, a bit noisy outside as some workers got up early to leave,,,otherwise nice pleasant stay, we would stay here again for sure when back up there
Older Quality Inn located on main road into Parker, friendly staff and good service .Two level building , rooms are clean and have been repainted however bathroom is a bit dated. My only complaints would be the loud air conditioning unit however there is a ceiling fan so it's ok at night . The second complaint is the carpet it seems dirty in the entry way and it makes the room smell a bit with an un fresh smell. I wish these hotels would do away with carpets they are notorious to retain smells and just make the room dirtier. Price was good and wifi strong.
