I got a real sense of Cochise and the Apaches when we visited this area. Lots of gorgeous rocks, remote, a few homes, hawks galore, and quiet. This is a great spot to take a picnic ( no restrooms so if nature calls find the closest bush) listen to birds, and go for a hike. The road was flooded after...

We had a lovely time - weather, accommodations, and atmosphere allowed us to really enjoy a small family reunion. Plenty to do, or not due as the mood allows! Birds a plenty and gray hikes and climbs in a spectacular setting with an interesting historic story.

You will leave a part of your heart behind when you drive away from this serene desert valley in the fabled Dragoon Mountains. Stony, lichen-topped mountains glow pink, gold, and green at dawn. Deer glide past your patio in morning sunlight. A fat hen peers through the door. Birds congregate around the many feeders, perch on rails, and flit through...

Nancy Yates was welcoming, the breakfast sublime (the cornbread is a must) and the scenery and hiking trail are terrific. A great experience, particularly if you are looking for a quiet and remote experience. We stayed in the Agave suite, but either of the suites are equally lovely.

If you're looking for a quiet weekend getaway, this is a great option. My partner and I stayed in the Yurt and had a very relaxing time. Accustomed to tent camping, the Yurt was a definite splurge. We enjoyed touring Willcox wine country and driving through the neighboring ghost towns. Thanks Nancy!

We spent 3 days at Cochise Stronghold at the end of May and would warmly recommend the B&B to anyone who likes nature and to be off the beaten path. Nancy and John Yates are great hosts, and the Agave Suite where we stayed is roomy and very comfortable. The breakfasts were absolutely glorious, and the wildlife is plentiful just...

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Cochise Stronghold Retreat. Nancy is just an exceptional host and an extremely talented chef whose made-to-order breakfasts are not to be missed! The room was clean and inviting, and the bird watching on the patio with our morning coffee or evening wine was an added bonus. We'll definitely be back again, and would...

We seen birds, deer and on property chickens. The breakfast is outstanding. This women works her butt off treating guests. Love this place as...

It is difficult to describe just how wonderful it is! The scenery, the accommodations, the bountiful breakfasts and the warm, delightful hosts. We spent 3 nights and it was way too short. Breakfast will take care of lunch and Nancy can provide dinner or you can bring supplies to cook in their well equipped facility.

Not many rooms so make a reservation. A B&B with really amazing breakfasts (to order). Lots of hiking opportunities including to a remarkable set of petroglyphs about a half a mile (uphill). We stayed two night and cooked in one night (food supplied) and brought in Mexican the other (take out in a meat market a few miles away). And...
