Copy of my email to the General Manager of the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess I wanted to send an email and tell you how extraordinary my families visit was to the Fairmont Princess the week before thanksgiving. My niece got married on the 21st and we, my entire family came to the wedding. I offered my family the rooms as a Christmas present and got two suites for my parents and my fathers brother and wife. We had an amazing help in Tami. She truly knows how to handle a big group and I felt so very well taken care of! She worked endless hours and many calls to get things right and get us all in the same buildings. Ryan the concierge was way more than a concierge. He was lovely and helpful, and always one step ahead of us. My parents are 88 and my uncle is 94, they each have their physical issues and Ryan helped us each step of the way with wheelchairs and assistance. The bell guys were unbelievable, all with a smile and each so ready to help. We had a lot of rooms, and we spent a lot of money on room service. We never waited more than 15 minutes and I am sure we were not the phone call the kitchen wanted as we ate in shifts. The food was great, and the service fantastic. We ate a few times in the Iron Bar and I was super impressed with the service and the food for a hotel of this was and all that was offered truly great. Wow, Christmas, no one, but no one does Christmas like you do, and that on its own is an amazing visit. I know you know this, as all the effort and expense to install was not lost on us. I was amazed at the service, amazed at the friendly atmosphere , which was virtually everywhere. I am in the retail business and we also own two hotels, managed by Hyatt. I travel extensively and am a 5 million miler on AA (not exactly something to scream about) My favorite hotel in the world is the Upper House in Hong Kong, but you all managed to kick that to the curb. I know the challenge of managing a hotel full stop, but one of your size and with all that was going on, omg you all really way over exceeded my expectations. On one last note, my uncle (94) died on thanksgiving day, and I can tell you the Fairmont and our visit helped to give him one of the most extraordinary last moments, not only his own visit, but us as a family. We were able to really spend four magical days together. Keep a close eye on Tami and Ryan, if i could get them to switch hotels I would (but they wont!). You have something magical going on, and I'd love to come and visit once for a site visit. What goes on underneath the hotel to make it work, must be something to be seen in itself! Amazing stay at this hotel. It was a business trip. The service and attention from the moment we arrived was great. Every staff was welcoming and attentive. We had breakfast and dinner and all of it was good. The location was always very clean.

When you specifically tell the front desk do not put me in an isolated area please remember your customer is uncomfortable. I told them not to put me in an isolated area and they did. I have two more nights. I have to stay here. If I could, I’d cancel and leave.

Beautiful resort. If you get a chance, definitely book the gold level rooms. Complimentary breakfast daily, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, and desserts, and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the day. Honor bar. Great selection of wine and alcohol. Everyone in the gold lounge was exceptional at their job! We thoroughly enjoyed the use of that every day.

Gus earned you 5 stars. He’s friendly, engaging and offers a level of customer service that others can learn from. Younger guy working the counter on September 11th when we checked in could learn basic customer service from Gus as he lacks even basic customer service. The reception desk didn’t have our room and we were downgraded. The (male, 20’s . Stockier build Brown hair that poofs out towards the top) was dismissive and borderline rude. The evening manager is also spineless, but kudos to Gus for making their shortcomings a nonissue.

Amazing resort for families! Beautiful, clean, lots to do, great choice of restaurants and the staff is always going above and beyond. There were also days my kids just wanted to visit the lobby to hang out with the lobby dogs. The standard room was spacious and you can’t beat the AZ weather and views. We were there for their summer activities but hope we can return one winter for their Christmas events.

Used to be a five star back in the 80s. Now possibly a three star. Dirty, stained carpets. Mildew smell. Fitness center surprisingly lame. Personnel were fantastic, but pretty tough to justify the price when new and newly renovated properties are available within a couple of miles for 50% less.

I cannot say enough about this resort! We were looking for a quick getaway to recharge and this was a perfect hotel to stay at! The rooms were clean with very comfortable bed. The linens and towels were very clean and soft! This hotel offers 4 pools and each were maintained very well. The service of the hotel staff was excellent!
