My room was located in the main building which was convenient as I was attending a conference. My view of the mountain was beautiful and it was very quiet. The facilities at this resort are impressive with large banquet spaces, intimate bars, gourmet restaurants, and beautiful pool area. They took excellent care of us during the convention.

We spent Christmas Weekend here. I had reserved a Lower Level 1 Bedroom Casita only to find that none were available and were placed in a 2nd Floor Casita. Beware of what is called a "Resort View", if your view of the back Parking Garage is considered a Resort View. The Casita was dark and in bad need of upgrading...

This was an absolutely amazing experience. We had royal tea. It was 3 courses with a pot of tea each and champagne. The tea sandwiches were incredible, the scones were great paired with lemon curd, and the desserts were decedent. They even made every course dairy free to accommodate my dietary needs. The wait staff was extremely kind and responsive....

We stayed at the very expensive presidential suite but were treated below standard. The room furniture are dated and the kitchen was not properly set up. The housekeeping was poor. They came at 9.30 pm to do room turndown! My kids were sleeping. They need to train their staff better. Disappointed at the 5 star hotel. The holiday setting was...

We checked in Friday night, every interaction from front drive, check in, housekeeping and cafe was outstanding. Room seemed recently renovated, clean and comfortable. Nothing was lacking. Kudos to the staff of the Phoenician. Thank you.

Ok, so here goes. My 70-something mom and I have frequently visited the Canyon Ranch / Miraval spa complex many times. However, for this Thanksgiving, we decided to do a three generation reunion in Phoenix to try to please everyone while being able to visit my nephew's new graduate school layout. I insisted on The Phoenician in Scottsdale as a...

Sure we like Scottsdale but the Phoenician is our real destination and the reason we go. It's the staffs' attention to detail that puts this property over the top as a 5 star hotel. They are all so courteous, friendly, and accommodating. It really says a lot about a hotel when you feel the warmth from that many staff.

I was extremely disappointed with this hotel when it came to my guest room. First off I emailed the hotel weeks before my arrival requesting a 2pm check in. I got a standard response saying they can't guarantee check in until 4pm but will do their best to accommodate me. As a Platinum Starwood member, a one or two hour...

I was here on business and stayed in one of the casitas. The facility is lovely in many ways. Beautiful grounds, magnificent backdrop of Camelback Mountain, nice little amenities such as lip balm to heal your lips from the very dry weather, water each night, turn-down service with chocolates. The room was ideal. I loved the deep tub in the...

This is still a lovely property, and it was decorated beautifully for Christmas. But it feels it's age even with the updated rooms. The highlight was dinner at J and G. The Yelp reviews had me nervous, but my steak was perfect and the sampler was inventive and tasty. But the pork belly was the real hit. The spa was...
