Planned on staying one night in Sedona. First time visit. Titanium Marriott status so chose to stay at Marriott. Chose the Residence Inn based on how new it is and liked the pool. I have to say it is one of the cleanest Marriotts I have ever stayed at. Rooms are large with firm mattress! We liked it so much decided to stay a second night. Sierra at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Bill in maintenance helpful. Several areas outside with heaters/ fireplaces to enjoy the evening. Breakfast was good with friendly staff and well stocked. View from balcony not great but when in Sedona should be out exploring not spending much time in room. Only a 5 minute drive from the main downtown area. Really liked dinner at The Vault and Cowboy Club.

The property is new and beautiful with spectacular views. What made our stay exceptional was the breakfast hostess, Sandy. She was professional, attentive, courteous and friendly. She went over and above to provide excellent service. Breakfast was delicious too!

This is a new hotel. However, when we checked in shortly after 4:00, we were told in order to get to our room, we would have to haul our luggage down 5 steps or go outside, around the pool, go in the door of another part of the hotel & take an elevator. It was a hassle! We took the luggage and went outside. When we got to our room, which was very nice & opened the shades, we had to look up & saw boulder blocks around our room. We were in a basement! We had booked our room in March with a balcony. We spoke with the gal at the front desk about moving & she said there weren’t any available with a balcony. The next morning, we asked to speak with a manager. We waited a few minutes before she came out and looked for a name tag but she didn’t wasn’t wearing one. We told her that we had booked a balcony room and wanted one. She looked online and said one would become available later in the day. We said that would be fine. She offered us $100 off our bill for the inconvenience. Later in the afternoon,we came and moved our things to the new room. It did have a balcony and had a bit of a view. The next morning when we went to check out, the gal asked if we would like an email receipt. We said no,we wanted to look at our bill. The hundred dollars was not taken off the bill. We pointed that out to the gal at the desk and of course she had to find a manager and ask if that was true. Had we not taken the time to look at our bill, we would not have gotten out $100. The manager did not do as she had promised. Well this hotel was quite nice, we felt it was a hassle staying there, we had to take her luggage around the pool and then we didn’t get the room we had signed up for. There’s lots of other hotels we can stay at next time.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience in navigating our uniquely layed out property. We are deeply apologetic to hear of the inconveniences you encountered while moving throughout the facilities, and have shared your feedback with our engineering team. The property is built in such a way to embrace the natural landscape around the hotel, which includes working with the deep rock layer underneath our buildings. We do hope to have an opportunity to provide you an exceptional stay on your next Sedona travels, and again thank you for sharing your feedback with us.

This was probably the nicest room we've ever had at a Residence Inn. It was absolutely sparkling clean with new appliances and everything was fresh and clean. The downside was that we did not have a balcony as I thought we would and we really had no view at all. Okay we looked out at the pool. So for Sedona that's a big disappointment. They did comp our parking when they saw how disappointed I was. If you want a balcony make sure you ask for a studio with a balcony.

We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed the room and cleanliness of our facilities while staying with us. I am sorry to hear of the lack of view of our surrounding areas, but do hope you had an opportunity to enjoy our spectacular observation deck, or tranquil meditation path that overlooks the surrounding natural landscape. We hope to see you again on your next Sedona adventure.
