The only reason I gave 2 stars is due to fact that the walls are too thin. We heard every movement of the guests upstairs. They also had their tv on all night which kept us up. If you are not bothered by this then you might do ok here. I really cannot see a way for owners to fix this issue so I would stay here again. However, It’s centrally located in downtown. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. The mountain view’s are amazing from the room. The rooms have been updated and are spacious.
just finishing a 3 night stay....great location...rooms are very updated including beautiful bathroom ..large TV...view is to die for.. we are on upper level with balcony...great view at sunrise..would not hesitate to stay here again
Stayed at The Matterhorn for 2 nights with my partner this holiday season. The inn has been fully converted and renovated. The rooms have a wonderful view of the red rocks from each individual balcony. Inside the room is spacious with a bathrooms separate from the main room. The matching set of furniture from the wall entertainment nook to the bed frame to the sliding doors and bathroom vanity was a great choice from management and their designers. The room is clean and modern. Attention to detail from the wall paint to bathroom tiles to choice of grout color. Was really surprised I have found this perfect little gem of an inn for the price we paid.
The views were great. Rooms are very nice. The biggest problem is they need soundproofing between floors. We were on the first floor. The first night above us I could hear people talking, stomping, music, etc and kept us awake. Next night we had new people who were above us and they got up before 5 am to pack. More conversations and stomping. Not restful and we will not go back.
I can't say enough good things about the Matterhorn. It's in a great location, with many things walkable, and you still get a view, even from the first floor. The room is brand new, shower is fantastic, and everything works the way it should. I was really concerned about the view when I saw I had a first floor room, but my patio joined to a communal porch (see pictures) and I still had an amazing view of red rocks. If you're looking for a good base to explore Sedona with convenient parking and an updated room, this is the place. I'll definitely be back.
